In late 2025 I had the absolute pleasure to sit down for an intimate private dinner with former CEO of Richemont Group and current CEO of Jerome Lambert during his short visit to Hong Kong, along with 4 other esteemed watch collectors/friends. During the dinner Jerome personally and throughly presented and shared details of these watches and several others (Ultra thin minute repeater and the Master hybrid Inventiva Gyrotourbillon)which would be the novelties of 2026 for JLC.
At the moment I laid eyes on the prototypes of the new Master Control Chronometre range I knew they would become the talk of Geneva in April. Perfectly sized, comfortable and well finished bracelet, new calibres, ultra thin case.. The MCC is the first integrated bracelet sports watch from the “watchmaker of watch makers”. A New Integrated Bracelet Sport Watch In Three Models (Time/Date, QP, And Power Reserve).
Fun fact; when most people think of integrated bracelet sports watch, the first three watches they will think of will undisputedly be the Patek Philippe Nautilus, Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and Vacheron Constantin 222. All these watches are icons and most relevant even some 30 years after they were released, but did you know they were all powered by the same base calibre designed and supplied by non other than JLC.
I can’t take my eyes off the pink gold version of the new MCC Perpetual Calendar and the MCC Date Power Reserve in steel which reminds me of the Futurematic from the 1950s.
which is your favourite JLC release from W&W 2026?
