🚧 Five days. One freeway closure. No room for delays.

🚴 As part of the Eastern Freeway Upgrade in Doncaster, a 55-metre-long trench was constructed across the freeway to relocate 18 power cables, making way for a new walking and cycling bridge.

🟢 With the clock ticking, Eifers backfilled the trench using 473.68m³ of Ecofill 55, delivering the speed and performance the project demanded.

⏱️ Just 10 hours after placement, the Ecofill 55 was proof rolled, helping keep the project on track within the tight closure window.

🤝 Another example of delivering time-critical infrastructure through the right solution, at the right time.

🏗️ We recently partnered with LEDA to complete a tyre spike and traffic security installation at Melbourne Airport's Value North Car Park. This consisted of automatic exit spikes, one-way entry spikes, speed humps, drainage, conduit, compressed air lines, and electrical services across multiple lanes.

⚙️ The challenge wasn't the scope. It was the environment.

⏱️ This car park doesn't stop. So neither could we.

🛣️ The Eastern Freeway – Burke to Tram Alliance had a tight window to complete critical service trench works: Wednesday night to Monday morning.

⚙️ Inside it, multiple contractors needed to excavate, install conduits, backfill, and overlay with asphalt — all in sequence.
