Meet Tom, our ambitious and hardworking mature apprentice who always shows up with a smile. Composed and driven, he eagerly embraces opportunities to take on more responsibility. Around site, he’s known as “Sarg” (a nod to his last name) to avoid mix ups with our other Tom.

What do you enjoy most about working for Vivid?
My favourite part of working for Vivid is the variety of work that we do, which has helped me learn so much in such a short amount of time, and the people that I have the privilege to work with and learn off.

What drew you to become an electrician?
What drew me to become an electrician was seeing how the world is becoming more reliant on electricity and seeing the potential for more and more things to become electric.

What footy team do you support?
I was signed up as a member of the Western Bulldogs before I was even born, so I didn’t have a choice, but I was lucky enough to be at the 2016 Grand Final so I wouldn’t want to go for anyone else.

What are your hobbies?
My hobbies are playing any sport, more so footy and basketball, catching up with mates, and playing PlayStation.

What’s your favourite holiday destination?
My favourite holiday destination is probably Swan Hill, as I get to see my family and get out of the busy city.

Yesterday marked our final day of the year, which also meant it was Harry’s last day as part of our team.

Harry joined us at the start of the year, working part-time in our office whilst completing the final year of his engineering degree. During his time with us Harry played a pivotal role in leading our estimating and supply authority applications. I think I speak for everyone at Vivid, as well as our builders, when I say that Harry has been an absolute pleasure to work with.

Next year, Harry will embark on his career as a structural engineer, and we have no doubt he will excel in this new chapter. All the best Harry, and thank you for your contributions!

We’re excited to welcome Daniel, who is also studying engineering, to continue the role next year.

Thank you to all our clients and builders for another successful year. Merry Christmas to everyone, we hope you enjoy a well-deserved break!
