Another hand operation :-((
Just had surgery on my right hand tendon sheath. Tools down for at least 4 weeks, off the water for 2 months. At least it's in the cold season and resin cures badly below 15 deg. 😉
At this occasion I would like to thank all my customers for their continuing support and business.

Hand surgery yesterday at St Vincent's hospital to get some nasty thorns removed. Sorry to advise I'm off the tools for about two weeks. So should be back in action by mid December to enjoy what's left of the seabreezes.

How it all began

The idea to found Bayside (Board) Fix came after repairing boards since more than 10 years. First my own, then for friends, then friends of my friends and soon the word has spread that has resulted in more and more boards arriving in need of urgent repairs (and swiftly being returned to their eagerly waiting owner). I love working with my hands and apply my engineering skills wherever possible. When I was made redundant by my employer in March 2018, I decided to turn my passion into a full-time commitment and offer my services to the Melbourne Windsurf, SUP and Surf Board community on a broader basis. Specialising in all types of composite repairs, such as Nose Dings, Soft Decks, Rail Cracks, Delaminations, Mast Tracks / Fin Boxes, Sandwich Structure Rebuilds, Deck Re-gripping etc. All work is carried out using high quality materials including Carbon Fibre and state of the art repair methodologies that restores the original construction of the board. Turnaround times are usually not more than a few days depending on the complexity of the work required.
