We can more rapidly hear what parts of your song need to be emphasized and which reduced and if any colouration would help. Then apply it more quickly than ever before.

Equipment's on, the sofa's in, and the vibe is spot on for day 60 of the studio in action! 🤓

The setup is dialed in:
The upper floor handles the precision mastering and mixing work
The ground floor is a space to support artistic creation and realize your vision. I don't believe in stuffy, formal studios, so we’ve designed this to be a relaxed lounge where you can feel comfortable.

Several new mixes have already been through the monitors, and It’s been a joy to hear the detail these speakers reveal in the tracks we've mastered so far

Still got my live mixing chops ..-- (on analog too)

Over the last couple of days I helped out my kids school junior production.

Manage to sort out feeback issues.
Do group configs for different mic sets
Fix gain staging

It's been a while since i've done any live mixing,
That's been bands usually and hasn't been on an analog desk for a long time . (I can definitely see why in the live music industry digital desks are really the only option - and even more so for theatre production -- the poor senior kid who was doing all the headset mic muting really could hvae done with preset scenes)..

NIce way to help out -

Definitely prefer being in the studio -

But live mixing in my past has definitely helped with making fast decisions.

With a fast follow today by

2 artists who couldn't sound more different. In both cases the room and speakers revealed everything....

Ever known there was something that needed addressing in your song but just couldn't pin point it.

Then more than likely your listening space/system is masking what's going on.

Combined with a trained set of ears, a well tuned room makes all the difference.. (yes there are some super talented engineers who can work in headphones, that takes even more training - shout out to my bro Ayden )

The sound here is amazing and super detailed, allowing me to make super small changes that have a big impact.. I've heard new things in songs in this room that I've been using as references for years.

For the last year, I've been working with my regulars as I got this project completed. Now the move is done, with the official opening this weekend, I'm officially opening back up. I've only got a small back log at the moment, so wait times aren't long.

I'm eager to spend as much time in here as possible and I really enjoy helping musicians, producers and mix engineers really communicate the message in their music.
