We were delighted to attend the St Narsai Careers Expo, where our Project Architects, Prudence Tang and Simone Carmody , connected with Year 10–12 students to share insights into life in architecture and the many pathways a career in architecture + design can offer.

The expo provided a valuable opportunity to discuss the journey into the profession, the evolving nature of the industry, and the diverse range of projects, people and experiences that make architecture such a dynamic and rewarding career.

Thank you to St Narsai College for having us, and to all the students who stopped by to ask thoughtful questions and engage in conversations about design, creativity and the built environment.

We were proud to be part of an event supporting future generations as they explore their career aspirations.

Reconciliation is an ongoing journey of listening, learning and building meaningful connections to Country and community.

Gray Puksand’s Reconciliation Action Plan artwork, Galyna Woka, meaning Beautiful Land in Yorta Yorta, was created by Kinya Lerrk, a collaboration between Aboriginal visual artists Emma Bamblett and Megan Van Den Berg.

In this video, Chris Scoble, Partner, Gray Puksand joins Emma and Megan to share the story behind the artwork and the cultural narratives woven throughout its design, reflecting connection, collective knowledge, Country and the shared commitment towards reconciliation.

Gray Puksand is excited to be collaborating with SEMZ and La Trobe University on the Bendigo City Centre Student Accommodation project, a 220-bed facility with safety, functionality and wellbeing as key priorities. With a planned 5-star green star certification, communal, study and recreation, retail and F+B outlets, the development will serve as a community hub for students studying in this regional area.

The project is currently progressing through schematic design and we look forward to continuing our collaboration with SEMZ, La Trobe University and the wider consultant team as the project evolves.

Gray Puksand recently delivered adaptive reuse learning environments for The William Angliss Institute Hospitality School in Melbourne.

The design adopts a human-centered approach, incorporating flexible learning spaces, social hubs and collaborative zones, alongside transparent glazing that provides visual connection to practical kitchen training areas. High-quality, industry-relevant equipment supports professionalism and safety, enhancing student engagement, retention and the overall quality of learning outcomes.
