There’s a lot that happens during a build that you don’t get to see once a home is finished.

And that’s one of the reasons we love sharing the progress of our Camberwell project.

The framing is now complete, the windows are in and the skylights have been installed. With each stage, we’re getting a better picture of how the finished home will come together.

Before the walls are lined and all this work is covered up, we wanted to share a closer look at what’s gone into the build so far.

Next up is the brickwork, and we’ll continue taking you behind the scenes as the project progresses.

There’s plenty happening over at our Hawthorn project.

The carpentry team has been busy upstairs, while downstairs, the window installers have been making their way around the home, getting some of the larger windows and doors into place.

One we’re particularly looking forward to seeing finished is the big glass door opening out to the backyard. It’s going to bring a lot of natural light into the living area and really open things up.

There’s still plenty happening on site, but it’s good to see some of these bigger features going in!

A lot of work has gone into getting our Hawthorn project to this point.

The structural steel is in, the framing is complete, and now our roofing team is making their way across the home.

It’s a great stage of the build to take you behind the scenes, because so much of what makes up the home is still on show. You can see the steel, the detail through the frame and the different rooflines, before it all starts to get covered up.

We’re proud of the trades we work with, and we think it’s important to show you more than just the finished home. These are the stages, and the work, that get us there.

Our Camberwell project is looking very different these days.

There’s been a lot happening on site over the last few weeks and we’re now at a point where you can really see the size and shape of the home, especially through the new extension and roofline.

There’s still a lot of work ahead of us, but we’re really happy with how this one is coming along.

There’s a lot you won’t see once our Hawthorn project is finished.

At this stage, everything is still open, which gives you a really good look at what sits behind the walls and ceilings of a home like this.

The different ceiling heights, pitched rooflines, curved walls and all of the detailed carpentry throughout have each required plenty of work from the team to get right.

Eventually, all of this will be covered up and the focus will shift to the finishes. But right now, you get to see the work that goes into creating those spaces in the first place.

Warrick takes us through a couple of the details we’ve been working on at our Camberwell project, including one that’s going to make a big difference to how this home feels once it’s finished.

Upstairs, the architect has found a really clever way to bring more natural light into the bedrooms. Rather than closing everything off, the slatted walls allow light to come through from the large windows and into the rooms behind.

Of course, there’s a fair bit of work that goes into making something like this work properly too.

Our team has been working closely with the renderers on all the waterproofing, flashing and drainage behind the walls. Most of it will never be seen once the house is finished, but it’s just as important as everything you will see.

Another stage underway at our Camberwell project, with the renderers making their way around the project.

The main house is now complete, and this week the team have moved onto the pool house at the rear.

It’s one of those stages that makes a pretty big difference to how the project looks. As the render goes on, you start to get the first real look at how the exterior of the home will eventually feel.

There’s still plenty happening around the pool house, but it’s good to see another part of the project coming together.

A lot has changed at our Hawthorn project over the past few weeks.

The framing is now complete and the roof is going on, which means we can finally walk through the home and see the plans coming to life around us.

You can see the ceiling heights, the pitched rooflines and how the different spaces will work together. For our clients, it’s also one of those stages where what they’ve been looking at on paper for months suddenly feels very real.

Next up, we’ll be getting the home closed in and moving into the next stage of the project.

We’re onto the next stage at our Hawthorn project.

Over the past few months, we’ve watched this home come up from the subfloor, through the framing and all of the detailed carpentry that’s gone into getting us to this point.

Now the framing is complete and the roof is going on.

Walking through the home now, you can really see the difference. The pitched rooflines are going in, the ceiling heights are becoming more defined and we’re getting a much better feel for the scale of the spaces throughout the home.

It’s been a big few months at our Hawthorn project, and we’re looking forward to bringing you along for what comes next.

Things are moving pretty quickly at our Camberwell project, and Warrick takes us through just how much has changed over the last few weeks.

The last time we were here, we were only at the truss stage. Now the roof is on, the windows are in and the house is wrapped and watertight.

It’s a great stage to reach because you can really start to see the home taking shape. The renderers are making their way around the outside now, and over the next few weeks we’ll see the wall colour go on, the scaffold come down and the brickwork start.

There’s still plenty happening, but it’s great to see this one moving along so well.
