Proud to be backing the next generation. 🏃‍♀️🏅

Nivek Group is a proud sponsor of the Bacchus Marsh Little Athletics Centre for the 2026/27 season. A big thank you to the club for this certificate of appreciation, and to all the volunteers, coaches and parents who give their time every week so local kids can run, jump and throw their best.

Supporting our local community is something we'll always get behind. Good luck to all the little athletes this season! 💪

We headed up to Screenex, run by the NSSA (National Security Screen Association), and one of the displays really stuck with us. 🔪

They ran a knife shear test on a low-cost imported mesh, and the blade went straight through it. It gave us a real eye-opener on the inferior mesh coming into Australia. In our view, it shouldn’t be making its way onto Aussie homes, because it simply can’t keep out someone determined to get in.

It’s exactly why we only install Amplimesh. Every screen goes through:

✅ The knife shear test: a standardised cutting attack on the mesh itself
✅ The dynamic impact test: five 200-joule hits, like an adult kicking or ramming the screen
✅ The jemmy test: 450 N (about 45 kg) of prying force on the locks and hinges for 20 seconds

When it comes to your family’s safety, what’s behind the frame matters. Ask us what’s in your screen. 🦈

Unique is our specialty. ✨

We don’t just stop at security doors. Nivek Group also specialises in architecturally designed windows and glass, and every job starts the same way, with a detailed shop drawing so it’s built exactly to plan.

In this video:
🏨 Chadstone hotel: rooftop bar and pool glazing, curved corner glass, bronze-framed doors and automatic sliding entries
🏢 Box Hill apartments: a full-length framed mirror wall entry, curved to wrap the lobby columns

From the first line on the drawing to the final install, we love the jobs that need something different.

Not every opening is a standard rectangle, and not every job fits a standard door. 🔧

This one has a stepped, out-of-the-ordinary shape, built from scratch in our Melton workshop to fit exactly where it needs to go.

If another company has told you your job is too hard, that’s usually where we come in. We do things a little differently. We work closely with you from the first measure to the final install, to understand what you’re trying to achieve and make the whole process a lot easier.

Custom security doors and screens, built to solve problems, not avoid them.

Field trip. 🧡

Today we went behind the roller door at Capral Aluminium's Campbellfield plant — where every length of aluminium in a Nivek door or screen starts life.

What we saw:

🔩 One of the biggest extrusion presses in the country, billet going in one end and our profiles coming out the other

🤖 Robots doing the hot, heavy handling work down the line

🌧️ A rain and wind rig that hoses a finished window down under pressure to find exactly where water gets in — that's the frame in the photos

🇦🇺 Australian-made extrusion, going straight into Australian-made screens

It's easy to write "Australian made" on a website. It's another thing to stand next to the press it comes off and watch it happen. Big thanks to the Capral team for having us through and copping every question we threw at them — we learned plenty and had a great day doing it.
