A closer look inside Bombora, welcoming 2026 with the release of some of our favourite interior spaces of the home.

Photographed as one of our final projects of 2025, the interiors adopt a refined, executive palette that contrasts the robust exterior shell. Dark timbers, stone finishes and considered lighting create a calm, atmospheric environment, carrying the project’s material restraint and architectural clarity through to the interior.

A fitting way to begin the year, reflecting a focus on longevity, material integrity and thoughtfully composed spaces.

Recently captured by .studio LANA Bilinga is a study in light, proportion and coastal connection. The design features two offset volumes that appear to float in opposition, creating a dynamic yet balanced composition, framing panoramic ocean views while maintaining a subtle, elegant presence.

Inside, natural timbers, soft textures, and thoughtfully selected materials reflect the coastal tones, while expansive glazing and seamless indoor‑outdoor transitions create a calm, elevated beachfront experience. Every residence has been crafted to balance privacy, connection to nature, and the effortless rhythm of beach-front living.

Bombora presents a composed study in material endurance and architectural clarity.
 
Cast concrete, natural stone and copper define a restrained palette chosen for strength, longevity and the ability to patina with time. Responding to the coastal environment, these materials will continue to evolve, deepening the building’s character and presence.
 
Clean lines, recessed forms and expansive glazing create a calm, controlled façade, balancing minimal expression with rich materiality. Robust, refined and designed to mature gracefully.

Approval has been granted for 38 St Andrews, marking the next step in bringing this considered residential design to life.
 
This project marks a thoughtful addition to Isle of Capri, delivering contemporary residential design that is both contextually responsive and timeless. With careful attention to proportion, materiality, and liveability, 38 St Andrews exemplifies architecture that balances restraint with refined presence - creating homes that connect with the subtropical environment.

We’re so pleased to share that Development Approval has been granted for 141 Townson Avenue, Palm Beach.

This boutique four-residence project introduces a refined, low-rise addition to one of the Gold Coast’s most coveted coastal enclaves. Full-height fluted off-form concrete, expressed slab edges, natural stone cladding and vertical timber-look battens articulate a calm, contemporary façade that responds sensitively to its residential context.

Generous balconies, deep planting zones and a shared rooftop terrace with hinterland views ensure abundant natural light, ventilation and connection to landscape - hallmarks of considered coastal living.

We extend our appreciation to our clients and the project team for their support in delivering this next chapter of thoughtful density in Palm Beach.

Ben has been part of BDA for the past six years, and as Project Leader has contributed to a wide range of projects spanning luxury coastal residences, multi-residential developments, and community facilities. Designed in collaboration with and .ar.office , The Alfred brings together residences, retail and dining in a refined expression of contemporary coastal living. We are so pleased to share that Sorrento House has recently been featured acclaimed publication

 
Conceived as a robust yet refined response to its canal-front setting, the residence is defined by strong concrete forms balanced with the warmth of timber, stone and breeze block detailing. Designed with a focus on climate, materiality and spatial clarity, Sorrento House facilitates a seamless connection between interior and exterior living.
