The redevelopment of the St John of God Health care campus based in Richmond is well underway.

As part of the early works package, we are waterproofing lift pits, stair shafts and retaining walls using the Bituthene sheet membrane system.

Keeping the sub-structure dry is imperative to the life-cycle of the building structure. A waterproofing failure could be catastrophic damaging habitable areas and with no way of getting back to the source of the leak, you have to get it right the first time.

What a journey this project has been for all of us @ Superseal Protective Coatings. To date we have installed over 40 square kilometres of that yellow membrane you see sitting behind the facade and finishes.

Our mission was to keep the station boxes, cross passages and pedestrian tunnels watertight for generations to come. Its amazing to see the end product. Well done to all involved!

We are pleased to announce that we have successfully secured the waterproofing package for the iconic Pitt Street Integrated Station Development (ISD) South Tower currently being built by CPB Contractors.

This 39-storey building, includes 234 build-to-rent apartments a wellness floor, rooftop terraces and connections to community facilities, green spaces, shops, restaurants and commercial office spaces. It is being built over the new Pitt Street Sydney Metro station south entrance as part of Australia’s biggest public transport project currently under construction.

With our scope including waterproofing to all external decks, balconies, terraces, podiums, plant rooms and roof tops, it is our responsibility to ensure that this iconic building remains watertight for decades to come.

After a rigourous assessment criteria. CPB Contractors selected Superseal Protective Coatings and GCP as preferred suppliers to deliver on such an undertaking. Thank you CPB Contractors, your peace of mind is our guarantee!

One of our areas of expertise is tanking basements below the natural watertable. The necessity to get this right means a leak free basement which still remains one of the most prevalent defects plaguing buildings throughout Australia.

There are a number of systems we deploy depending on geotechnical, structural and buildability factors. On this project, the Soprema BSW tanking system ticked all the boxes and with its proven success rate in the Australian market, was selected by all stakeholders.

Check out these walkway pads we recently installed on this 10,000m2 roof waterproofed using the Sika Sarnafil PVC membrane system. They are welded to the membrane and become an integral part of the waterproofing system while providing an anti-slip pathway and protection of the membrane. By the time we finish there will be over 350 lineal metres of pathways for service trades to use.
