For the second year in a row, our philanthropic and adventurous Owner / Manager is taking on the Kokoda Track to support Hartley Lifecare ❤️

Andrew’s words …

After completing the Kokoda track last year to raise funds for Hartley Lifecare, I told Eric Thauvette that I’d do it again this year on the condition that he also signed up.
I didn’t think he would.
But he did, along with his son Seb.
And a promise is a promise.
So I’ll be spending my second birthday in a row on the Kokoda Track from next weekend … with my son Rhys Kerec
And can’t wait to choof down another birthday dinner of spam, two minute noodles, baked beans, spaghetti, a weird looking donut and a specially made cake.

Times are tough. I Know.

But its more important than ever to support those living with a disability to ensure they continue to live their best possible lives.

Any donation on the link below would be immensely appreciated – and I’d ask those in my family and circles that would normally buy me a card and / pressie…. to make a donation instead. That will definitely make it a happier birthday.

This photo of my beautiful wife and gorgeous daughter was taken in late 1996 on the site of our first building project. 2026 represents 30 years of building homes in Canberra and the surrounding region for Renaissance – a magnificent achievement and a milestone truly worth celebrating – which we certainly will throughout the year.
I’d like to start 2026 by thanking and congratulating my father and co-founder Lud Kerec, my great mate and former director Mark Newman and my current business partner / director and great mate Tony Bell.
Renaissance Homes longevity and success has been built on the back on a wonderful group of family and friends – past members of the team remain close to us, are appreciated in perpetuality and we’ll look forward to joining with them this year to celebrate and reflect.
Our current team – Andrew, Tony, Kempy, Scotty, Jenni, Sam and Diane – have just under 200 years of combined friendship and over 100 years combined as part of Renaissance !
On behalf of Tony and myself, I’d also like to extend our appreciation to all the highly valued suppliers, subcontractors and consultants that we have worked with past and present – with many for the whole 30 years.
To our past and present clients (approaching 2000 completed homes / townhouses and apartments) – thank you for entrusting us to build your new homes.

Hartley Court is officially open!

Our Owner Manager, Andrew, was thrilled to cut the ribbon at the official opening of Hartley Court this week, alongside Andrew Barr ACT Chief Minister, Rachel Stephen-Smith MLA, resident Minjae, and Eric Thauvette, CEO of Hartley Lifecare

Designing and building accessible, visitable and inclusive homes is our passion and we’d like to thank all the beautiful people at Hartley Lifecare that have once again trusted our team to deliver such a wonderful project.

Thanks also to our partners and suppliers who reduced costs, donated materials or provided work pro bono to make this project a reality.

And a very special thank you to all the Hartley Court residents, their families, friends and supporters for their patience, resilience and understanding while we worked to bring you a modern Hartley Court. We are so excited to see you move back in to a new and improved Hartley Court - where every part of your home is accessible to you and nothing you need is beyond your reach.
