Be bin proactive and get on board and take the opportunity to use two green waste a fortnight for December and January.
With all the extra food waste produced over Christmas and the new year the extra bin will come in handy!
What can go in your green waste FoGo bin-
Food scrap
Paper plates
Bamboo cutlery
Paper towel
Serviette
Baking paper(compostable)
Wrapping paper(not foil or waxed)
Clean cardboard (not waxed tape and staples removed
garden waste
Don’t put it in your general waste bin.
Also scrunched up aluminium foil and trays can go into your recycling bin.

🎄With Christmas approaching, all residential houses in Copper Coast Council can put out an extra green waste bin from 8th December to 30th January 2026.🎄

♻Additionally, new dedicated waste stations, featuring FOGO bins for compostable takeaway items and packaging marked with the seedling logo, and CDS (10¢ deposit) bins are being placed alongside existing landfill bins in parks and reserves. Expressions of interest from local community groups or not-for-profits are being sought to partner in the CDS bin initiative. Groups can display their logo on the bins, help maintain them, and use the collected refund monies to support community projects.

♻Copper Coast Resource Recovery Centre will be Closed on Public Holidays Only during the Christmas/New Years period.

Time has run out if you are still displaying your old sticker as your bin will not be emptied till the new 2025/2026 sticker is displayed.
Reapply online with the council to get your new sticker which is YELLOW.

Copper Coast Council Residential home who have an exceptional circumstance bin it’s time for you to renew your sticker by the 30th of June to keep your extra bin being collected.
From July if you are not displaying the new sticker your extra bin will not be emptied.

Please be patient on Bay Road when our trucks are just doing their job and not under take the truck like these two drivers.
This is very dangerous for anyone who may be walking on the bike track, driver could be hit by a bin or the arm of the truck.
Just be patient as the truck will turnoff on a side street and then you can pass safely.

Copper Coast Residential and Business collection changes for Christmas week and New Years Week are as below.

Please check table to see if it affects you.

Monday and Tuesday are as normal only effecting collections from Wednesday of each week.
Paski area are as normal only effecting the Friday of each week.

Please make sure your bin is out by 7.30am if void it being missed.

Trucks are equipped with cameras so will can check if your bin was out on time.
If in doubt please place it out as normal.

From 23rd December 2024to 24th January 2025 you can place two green waste bins for collection.

All of Wardles Residential and Business trucks are equiped with 6 cameras Front, Rear, left, Right , side lift and Hopper.
If you ring us about your bin we can go back on the footage and see what happened, if your bin was out when we went past, if your bin was contaminated or you have placed out too many bins.
Please make sure all bins are kerbside by 7.30am to avoid a missed bin.

To the gentleman who disposed of 4 fire extinguisher at our gate today we are not a dump we do not take items at our facilities!
Please dispose of item at the Council resource Recovery Centre in Wallaroo or if you are unsure please phone us or the Council to know where you can dispose of them properly!!
