With new power points for buggy battery chargers, sensor lights 💡 for the early morning golfer and new switch board upgrades.

A customer today had long been having problems with no hot water or little hot water.

We were called this morning and found the pictures below.

⚠️ This happens more often then it should.

Coupled with the “foil type” insulation there posed safety concerns for anyone in the ceiling space.

This morning we were called to a faulty light.
Upon inspection we found the below pictures of a cable which was burnt to a crisp and has charred the timber roof trusses and frame work of the customers home.

It is a timely reminder for everyone to please call your local electrician to have a safety inspection done of your switchboard and ceiling space. This was not far away from a tragedy for this family.

We were called out yesterday morning with a complaint of the RCD tripping and no power.
Upon trying to find the cause of the fault we found something else that has potential to be quite dangerous to the home owner and their family.

⚠️ No RCD protection
⚠️ circuit breaker sizes wrong for the cable sizes
⚠️ Exposed single insulated cables
⚠️ No cable support

⚡️💡⚠️ DIY jobs like this one can have severe and fatal consequences.
