New season, new build. Spring's finally here, the days are stretching out and the panels are loving it.

It's a great time of year to think about solar, and this week's job shows off the very best time to do it: a brand new build we set up with solar and a battery ready to go in time for the move in.

This week's job highlight is a new build in Aston Hills, Mount Barker: 33 x AIKO 535W panels, a GoodWe three phase 30kW inverter and a 33.28kWh GoodWe battery. All set up during the move in process, ready to go from day one.

Curious which solar panels are actually worth fitting? This week we're shining a light on one of our new favourites, the AIKO 535.

Part of AIKO's third generation range that only landed in Australia this year, it uses clever ABC technology (All Back Contact) that tucks all the wiring away on the back, leaving the whole front free to soak up sunlight.

That makes it the highest output panel we fit at 24.1% efficiency, so you get more power from the same roof space. It also has a sleek all black look, holds up well in heat and partial shade which is handy for the Adelaide Hills, and comes with a 25 year product and 30 year performance warranty.

Building or buying a new home? Now’s a great time to get your solar and battery sorted.

Whether you’re building from the ground up or you’ve just bought a new place, planning your energy setup early can save you money, time and hassle down the track.

If you’re building, the ideal time to think about solar is before the roof goes on. Getting us involved during the build means we can plan your panel layout for the best possible generation and make sure you are set up ready for solar, a battery and even an EV down the track.

If you’ve bought an established home with solar already installed, it’s worth getting the system checked before you start relying on it. Some systems can quietly underperform for years, and a system that suited the previous owners might not be the right fit for how you use your home. It could be a good opportunity to upgrade or add a battery.

At Heaps Good Solar, we’re proud to showcase the SigenStor system’s remarkable flexibility and performance. The three-phase hybrid inverter enables configurations that were previously unfeasible or cost prohibitive. So whether it’s a compact build or a complex off-grid property, the system performs reliably.

For example, this installation includes 120 Jinko Solar Tiger Neo 510 panels, two SigenStor 30T-48 stacks, 60 kilowatts of inverter power, 96.72 kilowatt hours of battery storage, a 27.5 kVA three-phase generator, and a 100-amp three-phase off-grid power supply, delivering robust off-grid capability! This week's newsletter is a good one. Lawson's been thinking about what a battery is really for, and reckons it's about a lot more than just saving money. It's about comfort.

The idea is simple. You've already paid for your appliances and your battery, so use them. Run the dishwasher, use the dryer in winter, keep the house warm morning and night, cook whenever you feel like it. Climate controlled comfort all year round, without stressing about the bill.
