One of the greatest compliments we can receive is being invited back to continue a client’s journey.

After transforming the front landscape, it’s been a pleasure working together once again to bring the next stage of this property to life.
We’re grateful for the trust our clients place in us and excited to see this next chapter become a place for gathering, relaxation, and memories for years to come.

It was a pleasure sharing stories with Charlie Albone about the plants, places, and moments that sparked a lifelong connection with landscape and nature.

How’s this for a before and after?

The first image comes from a 1963 ABC News report featuring Australian running legend Ron Clarke as he prepared for the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. The property was his home at the time and formed part of the story documenting his journey.

The second image shows the same property today, following a front garden transformation designed and landscaped by Living Senses six years ago. There’s something special about working on a property with such a rich history, while helping shape its future.

And we’re not finished yet. The Living Senses team is currently transforming the backyard of this property, so stay tuned for more before and afters to come.

What was once a dry creek bed has been transformed into a calm and welcoming garden designed to slow things down and reconnect with nature 🌿

Working alongside Erica, the vision for this space was clear, a landscape centred around native planting, layered with a variety of colours, textures, and natural movement throughout the garden.

Hearing how much Erica now enjoys spending time in the space is what it’s all about for us. Creating gardens that feel personal and connected to the people who use them every day is something we take great pride in.

A huge thank you to Erica for trusting Living Senses to bring this vision to life.

A special visit to the Living Senses and Shapescaper stand at the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show 2026 🌿

It was great having Hannah Moloney, presenter from Gardening Australia stop by to experience the space and share her thoughts on the design.

The creative use of Shapescaper materials throughout the stand was described as “weird and wonderful”, functional while still pushing creative boundaries, which was exactly the vision behind the build.

Safe to say there may already be ideas floating around for future shows…including a few farm animals making an appearance 👀🐐🐓

Big thanks to Shapescaper for collaborating with us and helping bring this design to life.

It was such joy catching up with Andrew Laidlaw, teacher at University of Melbourne for 40 years and Landscape Architect at the Royal Botanic Garden in Melbourne. He kindly shares a conversation with Kate from Living Senses around design, landscape, people, and the deeper meaning behind creating outdoor spaces 🌿

Thank you again, Andrew, for your time and kind words. The world is a brighter place with you as a mentor for so many designers.

Today marks the first day of planting on this amazing property in Guryere, Victoria.
The planting design was inspired by the surrounding native bushlands and rolling wine valleys.

By blending both native and exotic planting palettes, we created a landscape that feels connected to the environment, while still reflecting the client’s vision.

At Living Senses, our team of trained horticulturists are here to help bring your landscape to life with plants tailored to your wishes, soil, climate and surroundings.
