Lucky our client contacted us about the brown mark in their bathroom heat light. An incorrect oversized heat lamp was used which caused the plastic light fitting to melt and burn.
Always check the light fitting for the correct sized lamps before replacing any blown lamps and if unsure contact us and we can help.

WE DON’T MEAN TO SCARE YOU – but is your switch board safe?

Due to a very old switch board not up to today’s standards, these home owners were lucky they didn’t lose their house to a fire. The proof is in the photos. Burnt wires caused by an electrical short above a bathroom were giving off a burning smell. If not for the keen nose of the home owner, this could have been a lot worse. No switch tripped at the switchboard! These cables were still live!

This is why we recommend safety switches on all circuits in your home and regular electrical safety checks, especially older homes.
Book us in to have a look at your switch board. It will give you piece of mind to know that your house is protected by safety switches.
