The team has been busy, and you can see a theme with some of our recent jobs.

While all batteries set out to do what they are supposed to, Sigenergy offers a scalable solution without compromising its physical footprint. Each layer covers its own function, from battery storage and a PV inverter to an optional EV charger.

This layout eliminates a lot of messy external conduits and complex wall assemblies.

Two other features that make this system a standout are the optional full three-phase backup power and active fire protection that includes AI thermal monitoring, aerogel insulation, smoke/gas sensors, and an internal aerosol fire extinguisher in every battery pack.

Today we’re celebrating 4 years in business and what a journey it’s been! ⚡🔋☀️

From our early days to where we are today, Outback Power has continued to grow, learn and take on bigger and better projects across Northwest Qld & Northern Territory.

We are incredibly proud to be a local Mount Isa business, born and built right here in Northwest Queensland. There’s something special about being able to call Mount Isa home, support our local community and provide reliable power solutions to people living and working throughout our region, remote stations and communities across the outback.

We couldn’t have done it without the support of our customers, suppliers, friends, family and our incredible team. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has trusted us, supported us and been part of the Outback Power journey.

And of course, a massive shout-out to the boss man himself, Tim Harnas. 👏⚡

Outback Power wouldn’t be where it is today without Tim’s dedication, sacrifice, determination, countless long days, late nights, sweat and probably a few tears along the way! The fishing is far better than what we are used to, and we do not want to leave.

We recently had the privilege of completing a large-scale solar installation for Bell & Moir Toyota Mt Isa!

Our team installed a 40kW solar system on the Sales Centre and a 40kW solar system on the Service Centre, delivering a total of 80kW of clean, renewable energy to power their operations.

We are proud to support local businesses in reducing energy costs and moving toward a more sustainable future.

The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program currently offers around a 30% discount on eligible battery systems between 5kWh and 100kWh when paired with new or existing rooftop solar. It's applied straight to your quote by your accredited installer through the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme, so there's no paperwork, no income test, and no waiting for a reimbursement.

From May 2026, proposed changes will reduce the rebate for batteries over 14kWh and step the rate down every six months through to 2030. The rebate isn't going anywhere, but every delay from here on costs you.

If a battery has been on your radar, now's the time to get a quote locked in.
