Emergency Water Infrastructure Rebate Scheme Round 2

The NSW Government and Commonwealth have together contributed $30 million in additional funding to reopen the highly successful Emergency Water Infrastructure Rebate (EWIR) program.

New applicants in NSW can now access funding under the expanded EWIR scheme through the Rural Assistance Authority.

The EWIR scheme is designed to support NSW primary producers to invest in drought-proofing infrastructure to build resilience now and in future dry periods.

The rebate provides eligible primary producers access to a 25 per cent rebate, up to $25,000, on purchases and installation costs of water infrastructures.

If you have already received funding under round 1 you may still be eligible under round 2.

Don’t Miss Out! …On-Farm Emergency Water Infrastructure Rebate Scheme

Farmers will be able to access a 25% rebate, up to $25,000 on new purchases and installation costs of water infrastructure projects on-farm across NSW to help them in the current drought and be better prepared for future dry conditions.
This rebate applies to the purchase and installation of emergency water infrastructure for livestock including:
* Drilling of new stock water bores and associated power supply such as generators;
* Pipes; Water storage devices such as tanks and troughs associated with stock watering;
* Water pumps;
* De-silting works of existing dams, where you can demonstrate that the property does not have access
* Other materials or equipment necessary to install the above excluding purchase of machinery;
* Any freight component to purchase and install the equipment;
* The professional installation costs to install the water infrastructure.
