Why do they make this so difficult. Its the hardest day to take your mate to the vets knowing they are not coming home. We were so lucky to have Eddy as a rescue dog for 10yrs and I honestly thought we would have him for 10 more 💔 You gave love unconditionally and asked for nothing in return. As a family we are broken today.

Video of these garage doors finished in Colourbond Surfmist.
This is what controlled spraying should look like. Smooth, even finish right across the panels with no patchiness, no striping and no heavy edges. Surfmist can be unforgiving if it’s not applied properly, so it comes down to prep, gun control and building the coats the right way.
These doors were cleaned, sanded, degreased and masked before any paint went on. From there it’s about consistency — same distance, same overlap, same pressure — so the finish lays down clean and uniform.
Surfmist works really well on garage doors, especially when it ties in with soffits, gutters or window frames. It freshens the whole front of the house without looking overdone.
Simple job on paper, but the finish only comes out like this when everything underneath is done properly.

Quick look at how these windows came up in Parkwood on the gold coast

Sorry I didn’t get any prep or in-between footage on this one — was flat out on site the whole time.
These were old cream aluminium frames taken through to satin Monument. Big change in how the house reads now. The darker tone pulls the frames back into the glass and works with everything else around it instead of standing out.

Full prep was done before spraying — clean, sand, degrease and mask — then built up properly to get a consistent satin finish across all frames.

We also removed and replaced the new screens.

Sometimes you don’t get all the content, but the end result says enough.

I suppose there are numerous aspects we don't showcase, such as cleaning, washing down, sanding, wax and grease removal, primarily because we believe it would make the content less engaging than our current material. Here's a brief video of us blowing out the window tracks after washing down.

This job at Parkwood is coming up a treat, can't wait to show some finished results.

Priming old anodised aluminium windows in Helensvale today.

These frames are original anodised aluminium and are being converted to Monument. Before any colour goes on, the primer stage has to be right.

Anodised aluminium is hard and smooth. If you don’t prepare it properly, coatings won’t last.

We start with a full clean to remove contaminants. Then mechanical abrasion to create key. After that, wax and grease remover to eliminate sanding dust and residue. Only once the surface is completely prepared do we move into primer.
For this job we’re using black primer underneath Monument. Dark primers support darker topcoats. They help with colour consistency, depth and coverage. It’s not random — primer choice affects the final result.

First coat is a controlled tack coat. This builds adhesion and reduces the risk of runs. Once flashed off, we apply a full wet coat to build proper film thickness. Film build matters. Too thin and durability suffers. Too heavy and you risk solvent entrapment or sagging.

This is the stage most people never see, but it’s the stage that determines whether the job lasts.

Security screens were removed prior to spraying. We now refinish diamond grill security screens and replace fly mesh while they’re out, so everything goes back looking consistent.

Helensvale has a mix of older anodised systems and newer builds. Repainting allows the original aluminium frames to be modernised without replacing them.
Once Monument goes over this black primer, the frames will sharpen the whole house and work with surrounding surfaces instead of fighting them.

One of the biggest single projects of 2025 for us. This home consisted of over 30 French doors and windows, handrails and fencing to repaint. Thanks to for setting us up on this job, providing scaffolding and a clean work area.
