Breaking through the metal sheeting was the only escape for Grant, out of his upstairs office as the water level passed 4m within the brewery. Having only traded for two months he wanted to try all he could to save it, but no one could foresee a flood so severe.
Breaking through he was able to see a neighbor clinging to her balcony post as a river surged in their street. A neighbor on a surf-ski then emerged paddling down the street to which Grant was able to call them to the neighbors aid and then his..

Just one story out of the thousands being told in the Northern Rivers NSW & QLD..it is a national emergency! I'm so proud of the resilient community of this area and how they can come together when they are forgotten by the people chosen to protect them.. we got this! With so many digging deep and doing everything they can to help, I know we can band together to overcome all of this! 💚✌️
