The Spry Civil Construction Country Western Race Day 2026 was an absolute riot!

There is no better place on earth than the Murray Bridge Racing Club when the place is packed full of good humans, like it was yesterday. We are so fortunate to have such a fantastic, world class venue like this in our region!

The day was full of line dancing, bull rides, live music, fashions on the fields, laughs, and great food and beverages 🍻 🍷

As you can see in this photo, after some Dutch Courage, we had the 9 local business Race Sponsor’s participate in “The Spry Cup” where the athletic ability was certainly on show!
After some interesting techniques, the winner of the Cup was COX ELECTRICAL Lisa Trezise Cox with an impressive dive at the finish line to knock out Mulch N More - Landscape Supplies & Bulk Haulage, and Chapman Heavy Mechanical

What a WILD ride today in "Bulk Hogan" (reference to Hulk Hogan for all the young generation). Ace and Sam put the Beast through its paces today and bloody hell... nothing compares to great equipment with massive horsepower!

“Bulk Hogan” makes her new home at Spry Civil Construction!
This combination is an incredible piece of engineering that boasts a 655Hp New Holland T9, coupled with the almighty JNR scraper bowl which boasts a payload of 30 tonne when she fills. Capable of moving mountains at a time, we couldn’t be happier with the beast!

We would like to thank Swan Farm Machinery for the dedication and commitment to finding the perfect tow unit for the scraper! Great doing business with old friends!
We would also like to thank J N & R Engineering P/L for providing the most user friendly and robust scraper on the Market!
Of course, our sticker man Oz Signs, Garry to the rescue once again! Looks great.
The final piece of equipment to go on her is the Trimble Laser/GPS system from our friends at Site Works!

The Role
Your key responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to:
• Scheduled servicing as well as minor & major repairs of light vehicles, highway vehicles plus earthmoving machinery etc.
• Diagnosis and repair of mechanical defects
• Completing accurate records of repairs and servicing
• Willing to develop new skills
• Request required spare parts
• Assist in specialist equipment builds
To be successful in this role you must possess the following skills, attributes, and qualifications:
• Trade qualifications essential
• Experience with heavy vehicles preferred
• Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
• Ability to document, record and track servicing and maintenance of all vehicles
• Ability to demonstrate a commitment to OH&S/WHS policies, procedures, and regulations
• Trade experience in similar role within the heavy industry or civil sector
• HR licence preferred but not essential
• Reliable and honest
• Great work ethic
• Physically fit, with flexibility to work from any of our yards or onsite if required.
