🚨 Urgent Call-Out | Fire Damage in Meter Box

Not the kind of surprise anyone wants to come home to...

After returning from a weekend away, this customer discovered signs of fire damage within their meter box, including melted components and significant heat damage to the existing switchboard assembly.

We made the installation safe, replaced the switchboard, upgraded protection with new RCDs, installed new consumer mains, and restored power to the house and dairy.

💡 Safety Tip: If you notice burning smells, melted components, or signs of heat damage around your switchboard, don't ignore it. Have it checked immediately.

⚡ Electrical fault finding in action 👊

We recently attended an urgent call-out where a lighting circuit was repeatedly tripping, leaving parts of the property without power and affecting the operation of external motorised blinds.

Fault finding isn't always as simple as replacing a component — sometimes it's a process of carefully isolating circuits, testing equipment, and working through each connection methodically to identify the real cause.

In this case, we separated switches and fittings, replaced a slow-tripping RCBO, and systematically re-energised the circuit one component at a time until the fault was traced back to the motorised blind circuit.

⚡ A good reminder that when circuits start tripping, there's usually a reason — and repeatedly resetting breakers without investigating the cause can lead to bigger issues down the track.

Another fault found, another customer back up and running 👊
