This week invovled some fascia repairs on boards that are orginal to the 40 year plus home.
Most of the fascia boards had wet rot on then end grains which is where all timber will deteriorate faster than any other part of the board.
The rest of the facia board where in good nick all being a type of hardwood which will last years with up keep of maintiance.
To patch up these end grains used a wood hardener that strengths the wood fibres
Add some builders bog and ready for paint
Later in the week the client had some new tiles install in the laundry brining up the finish floor level.
3 doors to be cut down to suit the new floor level
For 2 of the doors adding 2 door vents for some air circulation as these rooms are below the flooring system
The toilet door had some lift off hinges that were not able to do their function as the door was only 3mm from the top jamb not being able to lift off the door.
Added an extra doorstop on top cut down the top of the door about 11mm so the lift hinges good be in use as per code for a some toilet that it is.
