Last week, at DFO Essendon, 3 existing rooftop air-conditioning units and their associated ductwork were removed by helicopter and replaced with three APAC rooftop packaged units with all-new ducting. A total of 30 lifts were completed; the new units weighed 1,800 kg each, all within 90 minutes, finishing before 9:00 am avoiding disruption to DFO trading.
Working in conjunction with Essendon Airport Control, Metcalf Heli-Services, ground crew, and Brenair, the project proceeded seamlessly to ensure all work was carried out professionally, safely, and on schedule.
