Experience in shed construction, steel er****on or general construction is highly regarded, but if you've got the right attitude and are willing to learn, we'd still like to hear from you.

This 25 x 15 x 5 shed is starting to take shape. There's a little more left on the frame, but it's taking shape. If you or someone you know would like a shed installed feel free to get in contact for a quote, we service most of Victoria and Southern N.S.W. we're also not to fussed on the kit you buy either. We can handle the full install from small earthworks, concrete slab and kit installation. 🙂

Experienced Construction Worker / Future Leading Hand

Northern Vic Contracting Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced construction worker to join our growing team, with the opportunity to progress into a Leading Hand role for the right person.

We specialise in rural, commercial and industrial steel building construction across Victoria and Southern NSW.

What we're looking for:

- Solid construction experience.
- Competent using hand and power tools.
- Good understanding of the building and construction industry.
- Ability to work unsupervised and think ahead.
- Reliable, takes pride in quality workmanship and pays attention to detail.
- Willing to travel and live away when required.
- Current White Card.
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport to and from our Nathalia workshop.

Highly regarded but not essential:

- Previous shed, roofing or cladding experience.
- Carpentry or builder experience.
- Experience operating mini loaders, excavators, scissor lifts or cranes.
- EWP ticket.
- Riggers ticket.
- Truck licence.

This role would suit an experienced builder, carpenter, roofer, shed installer or someone from the structural steel industry looking for long-term opportunities.

We're after someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well, and wants to be part of a team that values quality over shortcuts.

Above-award pay will be negotiated based on experience, skills and tickets, with genuine opportunities for advancement into a Leading Hand position.

What a month or so it has been with this rain about, yes it's great and we all need it. But we would also like to get a bit more done on site. We've been chipping away as best we can to get more of our list ticked off. A 15 x 7.5 x 3.3 Monument Telfords kit garage with 2 x 3.5 metre sliding doors, 2 x 3.5 metre roller doors, partition wall and 2 p.a doors mesh and sisalation to roof completed in Highlands Vic. A 10 x 8 x 2.7 Woodland grey Best Sheds kit with 3 roller doors in the gable end and single p.a door completed in Yeliema Vic in between rain delays for both jobs. Next up Now Buildings shed kit in Yalca Vic. Let's hope the sun comes out for a little while. 🙏🙏

Another one nearly wrapped up in the Highlands.
We recently completed this tidy little garage featuring 3 electric roller doors and a PA door before moving straight onto the larger garage next door.
Unfortunately Mother Nature had other ideas, throwing plenty of rain and delays our way. Despite the weather, we've kept pushing forward and are now getting close to the finish line on this one.
This larger build features 2 roller doors, 2 sliding metal doors, windows throughout and internal partition walls to create separate usable spaces within the shed.
It's been a battle with rain, mud and delays, but we're nearly there. Hopefully the weather gives us a break for just a little longer so we can get it finished, pack up and move on to the next project.
Thanks to our clients for their patience and understanding while we work through what has been some challenging weather conditions.

Work includes:
Assisting with steel shed construction
Lifting and handling materials
Using hand and power tools
General site labouring duties
Working alongside experienced installers
Requirements:
White Card (must have)
Driver’s licence (essential) but not a must
Reliable, hard-working and willing to learn
Comfortable working at heights
Able to take direction and work in a team
Advantage if you have:
Truck licence
EWP ticket
Mini loader / excavator experience
All training provided on site for the right person.
