A shared path project like this is rarely just a path.
Stage 2 of the Mundy Street shared path for City of Greater Bendigo runs from Railway through to Back Creek, and the scope goes well past surface work. The job includes 180m of new stormwater, 333m of kerb and channel in a mix of plain and bluestone to match Bendigo's existing streetscape, and two raised safety platforms connecting over 850m2 of footpaths across each road.

We’re proud of the finished product and learnt a lot of valuable lessons from building this contract.

A crossover doesn't get signed off by the builder. It’s a council asset that has to meet the council's standards. The process starts before we land on site, identifying individual council standards, permit requirements, obtaining approvals, considering the proposed asset’s surroundings, pedestrian and vehicle traffic management, scheduling inspections and notifying residents.

This crossover and footpath replacement in Glenroy was built for a private builder to Merri-bek City Council standards.

MAN Civil delivers concrete footpaths, shared user paths, crossovers, in plain and exposed aggregate finishes for councils, developers, and private clients across Victoria. Our scope includes kerb and channel, pram crossings, and pedestrian and cyclist shared paths built to council and authority specification.

These are the paths people use every day, whether that's the school run, the dog walk, or the morning ride, and we take that seriously. We've delivered this work for Macedon Ranges Shire Council, Banyule City Council, Hepburn Shire Council, and City of Greater Bendigo, across residential subdivisions, council capital works, and standalone infrastructure projects.

At The Greens Estate, 17-Lot Residential Subdivision, part of the sewer main runs through a nature reserve and with flat grades, we brought in a specialist contractor Breakthrough Trenchless to laser bore this section of sewer. This decision was made to minimise the impacts to reserve while ensuring accuracy. Our sewer crew prepared the entry and exit shafts and oversaw the bore on site until they were outside of the reserve area, where open cutting could commence.

Not every civil job is a road or a pipe in the ground.

MAN Civil delivers recreational and landscape infrastructure for schools, councils, and community facilities across Victoria, including sports courts, turfing, and the civil works that support play and recreation spaces. Our half court build for City of Greater Bendigo at Axedale Park is a good example — acrylic-coated concrete, line marking for basketball, soccer, and netball, perimeter fencing, and seating, all delivered to council specification.
