Michael Cronin played 216 first grade games between 1977-1986 for Parramatta. He represented Australia in 33 tests and played 25 games for NSW including the inaugural State of Origin match in 1980.
He won four premierships with Parramatta and played for the club in a total of six grand finals. He won back to back Rothman's Medals in 1977&1978. At the time of his retirement, he had set numerous point scoring records including being Parramatta's, the NSWRL's and Australia's all time leading point scorer.
Cronin later became head coach of Parramatta between 1990-1993 and also coached NSW Country. In February 2008, Cronin was named in the list of Australia's 100 Greatest Players (1908โ2007) which was commissioned by the NRL and ARL to celebrate the code's centenary year in 2008
