Introducing KARI by SABR.

Set in the hills of Corlette with views stretching across the bay, this home already had the one thing you can’t manufacture: an incredible position.

The house itself was a different story.

Tired, dated and with a layout that wasn’t making the most of where it sat, it needed more than a cosmetic update. It needed to be reconsidered around the way the owners actually want to use it as their private holiday home.

KARI is about working with what is already there, rethinking the layout, giving the home a modern new identity and making that outlook part of the experience rather than simply something you see through a window.

The view was already doing its part. Now it’s time for the house to catch up.

Introducing LŪMORA by SABR

This client development is nearing development approval and is already a testament to SABR’s Design Build process, bringing design, development and construction together from the outset.

Nestled in a quiet pocket of Eleebana, moments from the lake and close to schools, parks and local dining, LŪMORA has been designed to represent the pinnacle of modern family living.

We’re excited to bring LŪMORA to life in the coming months.

The story behind LAWSON’s curved staircase.

2D plans never tell the whole story and that was exactly the case with this feature. The original staircase that looked incredible on the plans would have failed the required head height clearance in the code book.

Lucky for us, we use 3D models in our pre-con processes and caught the risk before works even began.

In collaboration with the architect, we reshaped the staircase. We increased the curvature, giving it a more spiral structure which improved the appearance, whilst pulling it clear from the walkway.

The result was a staircase that not only passed code but became a true standout feature of the home that both the client and designer love.

New site acquired.

We’re excited to announce the acquisition of our first development site in Merewether.

This marks a significant milestone for SABR and a new chapter in our journey to deliver exceptional residential developments in Newcastle’s most sought-after locations.

Located just minutes from some of Newcastle’s most iconic beaches, cafés and parks, this site deserves a development that reflects the quality of its surroundings.

KYORA in The Junction.

This is a home made for a family to grow into. Small feet on oak floors. Morning light across the kitchen. A courtyard the kids will remember, and a pool for long summers. Some homes are built to last a lifetime. This is one of them.

Engineered timber floorboards getting installed at KYORA.

Beautiful 300mm wide Hekke Massivo Classic from Tongue & Groove adds warmth and depth, giving the space a real home vibe.

Plywood was installed to the substrate with the boards being glued to that, making the floor feel even nicer under foot.

Satisfying timber floorboards being installed.

Havwoods Corlette engineered European Oak 190 x 1900mm bringing warmth, texture and a softer feel through the home. With its brushed matte finish and rustic character, this selection adds nice character to the space.

These 20mm thick boards were laid over an 18mm plywood substrate for a better feel underfoot and a more solid walking experience throughout the home.
