From seed to sawlog 🌱

Every product starts in one of our Northern Rivers plantations.

Our forests are carefully established and managed through pruning and thinning rotations over decades, improving timber quality and creating value at every stage of the journey.

Plantation thinnings that may traditionally be chipped are transformed into products such as Bush Poles, fencing products and Peeled Posts, while selected trees continue growing towards future sawlog production.

Drone technology is helping us document the growth and management of our plantation forests while providing a wedge-tailed eagle view of the landscapes we work in every day.

From plantation establishment and growth through to thinning operations, harvest planning and environmental management, drone imagery gives us a unique view of the landscape and the forests we manage.

Plantation grown hardwood Peeled Posts recently installed at Tamburlaine Organic Wines as replacement for broken strainer posts within the vineyard. 🍇

Up to twice as strong as pine and with no issues around end-of-life disposal, our naturally durable hardwood Peeled Posts provide a sustainable alternative for viticulture, rural and landscaping applications.

Intermediate posts will be installed throughout the vineyard over the coming weeks. 🌱

A throwback to one of our favourite builds using Bush Poles.

The craftsmanship and attention to detail in this project were exceptional, with stunning joinery and bespoke design features that highlight the warmth, character and versatility of natural timber.

Projects like this showcase the beauty and value of using natural building materials to create beautiful spaces with timeless architectural appeal.

Sometimes trees seem to be planted in the perfect spot! We found this spotted gum growing at rates faster than we’ve ever seen before - 57cm DBHOB in 21 years.
