We are not a franchise.
We are not a branch of any nationwide company.
We are a local family business that has been proudly operating out of Noosa for the past 16 years.
What makes this even more special is the next generation of Turners stepping up into the pest industry.
Here’s what Wallace had to say after returning from a pest conference in Auckland, New Zealand:

“What a fantastic opportunity to be given! Being able to attend the Federation of Asian and Oceania Pest Managers Association (FAOPMA) pest conference was remarkable. Having the chance to attend a convention of leading experts in the field of pest management in a place as beautiful as Auckland, New Zealand was remarkable.

It was a wealth of knowledge to learn how a variety of products were made, how molecules are designed and altered, the biological effect of targeted pests, and so much more. It’s not just the application that goes into Pest Control, but the knowledge, expertise, and undertaking behind what we do and the impact of it.

Coming from a family business, this is a testament of how much we’ve grown. It can be trying to adapt and grow as a business in this day and age, but having support from family makes a huge difference in being able to strive towards success. This isn’t just limited to family as well, as this conference highlighted to me the pride my colleagues share in developing their knowledge and understanding of this industry we are in. This can even be extended to all the different representatives, manufacturers, researchers and other technicians I met during the FAOPMA conference. Each of them showcasing what it means to develop this industry further and further with difficult challenges appearing every day.

Once again, the opportunity to attend the FAOPMA conference was a remarkable experience that I will not soon forget.”

🚀 EPIC TEAM BUILDING DAY RECAP – LAGUNA PEST CONTROL STYLE! 🐝🔥

Friday was an absolute BLAST! We shut the whole operation down and treated our incredible team to a full Team Building Day on the Sunshine Coast – because at Laguna Pest Control, we know how to work hard and play hard! 💪

We split the crew into two fierce squads for the day:
🐝 The Bumble Bees
🦸 The Real Lagunatics

Morning Mission: Scavenger Hunt + Challenges through the bustling streets of Hastings St! The Real Lagunatics crushed it and took the morning crown 👑

Back at Laguna HQ we threw the results up on the big screen, then headed out for a proper Mexican feast at a local Mexican restaurant 🌯🌮 (the tacos and vibes were on point!).

Afternoon Battles: Escape Rooms! Both teams tackled A51: Security Breach and Aunt Annie’s Asylum. The Bumble Bees flew out of those rooms like absolute pros – posting the fastest escape times!

Final Score:

Scavenger Hunt → Real Lagunatics
Escape Rooms → Bumble Bees (both rounds!)
OVERALL CHAMPIONS → THE BUMBLE BEES 🐝🏆
But honestly? Every single person who showed up was a winner.

We’re so damn lucky to have the most passionate, qualified, and knowledgeable pest control team on the Sunshine Coast. Days like this bring out the energy, the laughs, the friendly rivalry, and the unbreakable bond that makes Laguna special. When our people are firing on all cylinders, our customers get the absolute best service, every single time.

We pride ourselves on being the best – and days like this are proof of why.

A quick apology (and explanation) to the wonderful residents & visitors of Hastings St!

You may have spotted our Laguna Pest Control team sprinting around on Friday in bright blue & yellow superhero capes looking like we’d escaped from a comic book!

We promise we had a very good reason!

On Friday we shut the business for the day for an epic team-building scavenger challenge. The Laguna squad was split into two fierce teams — The Bumble Bees vs The Real Lagunatics — and let loose all over Hastings St.

There were hidden talents, killer dance moves, plenty of laughs, and most importantly, some serious teamwork as everyone worked together to win the challenge.

A happy, connected team makes for the best possible service for our customers — so we went all in!

Thank you for your understanding while we let our inner children run wild for the day. It was absolutely worth it!

Team Building Day Vibes!

Hey Noosa! Laguna Pest Control is closed today for our awesome Staff Team Building Day!

That’s right - the whole Laguna squad is out and about in Noosa and around the Sunny Coast, diving into a heap of fun activities designed to bring us closer together and strengthen our bond. We’re big believers that a happy, connected team creates the best service for our customers, so we’re making the most of today to laugh, grow, and continue to build that special team spirit! 💪❤️

We’ll be back on deck, fresh and re-energised, first thing Monday morning as usual.

Another Mentorship Program Complete – Congratulations Essential Pest Solutions!

We’ve just wrapped up another successful mentorship program here at Laguna Pest Control, and this one was particularly special.

Over the past 6 months, we’ve had the pleasure of mentoring Essential Pest Solutions from Geelong, Victoria. What made this experience unique was that we weren’t just working with one person - we had the opportunity to spend time with the entire Essential Pest team.

For the final stage of the mentorship, Martin and Rie Simpson flew up from Geelong to spend time with Laguna Pest Control in Noosa. One of the things we enjoyed most about working with Martin and Rie was that the learning went both ways - we picked up a few valuable insights ourselves along the journey.

Rie has only recently stepped into the business, helping make Essential Pest Control a true husband-and-wife operation alongside their fantastic team. This visit provided a great opportunity for Rie to connect with our Laguna administration team, share ideas, and discuss the challenges and opportunities that come with running a growing pest control business.

Martin and Rie, we’ve loved every minute of talking pest control with you throughout the year. Thank you for your enthusiasm, openness, and willingness to learn and share. We wish you and the entire Essential Pest Control team continued success for the future.

We were also blown away by the interest in our mentorship program, with more than 17 applications received in the latest intake.
