By still making a choice to pick up the tools we are there on hand to deal with all problems that could arise and make certain quality is supreme. We have been fortunate enough to have constructed homes that have won Architectural awards the most recent of which was House of the Year in 2012.

A bit about one of our prior builds - Bluff House

The Bluff was designed for a coastal setting. The geology of land creating a fault line, placed restrictions on the design. The Architects answer to this was a submerged basement abutting the fault. This works as a usable area that also anchors the residence as a footing.

The above ground construction features, two parallel plates cantilever off reinforced blockwork to extend the building footprint over the land slip-affected terrain created by the fault line. This gives the appearance that the dwelling is floating above the terrain. An Excerpt from https://architectureau.com/articles/rob-kennon-architects/

A close creative relationship was established with the builder of Bluff House, further exemplifying the importance of people to the work of Rob Kennon Architects. The highly skilled hand-fabrication knowledge of Ross Stapleton of On the Rise Construction proved key and Ross built much of the house himself by hand, from the hooks and handles to the joinery.
