Seeing so many people panicking buying generators to run their homes asking what size do i need to run my house.
If you don't have a transfer switch on your home to run your home from a generator then you need a lead to run your appliances.
You generally can only run lights and fridges etc. Hot water systems take a lot and will generally trip your generator same as Air conditioners.
So many items in yards need to be removed inside or taken down if not bolted down. Essentially if the winds moves it now then it needs to be secured or placed inside.
Even wheelie bins need to be tied down as they will fly away easily.
Take photos before and after for any insurance purposes.
