PROJECT SPOTLIGHT | SILVERDOME 💫

A big shoutout to our technicians currently onsite at the Launceston Silverdome, with the $12M state government-funded redevelopment now well and truly under way 👏

Contact Group is proudly working with Beardwood Construction to deliver the electrical, fire detection, and security systems across this iconic venue ⚡️

The four-stage project includes the arena floor, bar & function space, change rooms & kiosk and a loading dock — resulting in more seats and better facilities to make sure the Silverdome is NBL-ready 🏀

Massive congrats to the whole team involved. We love being part of projects that matter to our community 🙌

🌱 WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

At Contact Group we don't just talk sustainability — we build it into how we operate.

Here's what that looks like...

⚡ EV charging infrastructure at all three of our branches, with 22kW 3-phase chargers provisioned to scale as our fleet grows.
☀️ Solar power on our Hobart and Launceston branches — our Hobart system alone generates around 50,000kWh per year, the equivalent of planting 924 trees annually.
🚗 A fleet transition to EVs that we project will reduce our CO₂ emissions by up to 70% over the next decade.
✅ And in 2025, we achieved ISO 14001 certification for our Environmental Management System — joining our existing ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 accreditations to reflect our commitment to continuous improvement across quality, safety, and now the environment.

We're proud of the team making this happen every day. The work is ongoing, and we're just getting started.

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT | HOBART AQUATIC MAIN SWITCHBOARD

Over the Easter break, Contact Group had multiple teams on site at the Doone Kennedy Hobart Aquatic Centre completing two significant scopes of work — a full lighting upgrade above the pools, and the centrepiece of the project: the complete replacement of the centre's main switchboard ⚡

THANK YOU BUSY & TIACS 👏

A big thank you to BUSY At Work for hosting another successful Diversity and Inclusion workshop at Contact Group last week.

The session provided a valuable space for open discussion around workplace scenarios, focusing on how situations can be navigated more effectively through improved communication and mutual understanding.

Fostering a culture of respect and kindness — where every person feels seen and valued — remains a priority for our team, and workshops like this are an important step in that journey.

It was a jam-packed week of special guests, with Ash Newth from TIACS also addressing our branch Toolbox Meetings. TIACS is a free text and call counselling service offering mental health support to Australia’s blue-collar community.

SUPPORTING COMMUNITY

A big shoutout to our team who took part in Mission Australia Midday Maintenance in Hobart today 👏

Contact Group volunteered a number of staff including an electrician, plumber, builder and joiner to carry out much-needed maintenance at social housing properties in the suburb of Warrane.

From cleaning gutters to servicing taps and replacing power points, no job was too big or small for our friendly team, with tenants thrilled with the result.

Great work everyone 🙌
