Project Completion | Beaumont Care, Clontarf QLD

We're proud to announce the successful completion of the refurbishment of a 21-bedroom aged care home for Beaumont Care.

Delivered within a fully operational care environment, the project involved the refurbishment of resident bedrooms, ensuites and three decanting rooms across six carefully planned stages. Every aspect of the works was coordinated around daily resident routines, personal care requirements and meal services to ensure minimal disruption and continuity of care throughout construction.

A key project innovation saw the consolidation of Stages 5 and 6 within the same segregated wing, reducing programme duration and limiting repeated disruption for residents and staff.

Despite challenges including existing site conditions, material lead times and fixture performance issues, the team maintained a strong focus on quality, communication and collaboration, achieving completion in just 40 weeks.

Congratulations to Glenn Ricketts, Greg Cutler, Chris Faure-Field and Kim Smith on a successful project delivery.

Meet Lilla Kaptay

Since joining Total Construction‘s Victoria team as an Estimating Cadet, Lilla has developed practical experience across different parts of the tendering process and a strong passion for Estimating.

Lilla is studying a Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours) at RMIT University and won the ‘Aspiring Cadet of the Year’ Award at the 2026 Total Construction National Excellence Awards.

We’re proud to congratulate Nicola Wall on winning the Women in Trades Apprentice/Trainee of the Year at the Apprentice Employment Network NSW & ACT Awards!

Nikki completed a Master Builders Australia Apprenticeship at Total Construction, working in small works and maintenance for 18 months alongside Robert Stubbs.

Now Leading Hand at Total Construction, Nikki is a valuable member of the team onsite Angel Storage Lidcombe led by Project Manager Will Anderson. She is soon to complete her Certificate IV in Building and Construction later this year.

Nikki is appreciated for her positive attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to safety and quality. It comes as no surprise that she has received this well-deserved recognition.

Project Completion | Kennards Self Storage Chatswood

Total Construction has completed the repurpose of an existing building, previously a disaster recovery centre, into a functional and compliant self storage facility.

As demand for self storage continues to grow across Chatswood, Kennards Self Storage set out to expand its capacity and create more storage solutions for local residents and businesses.

Along the way, the team navigated several unforeseen challenges, including extensive concrete cancer remediation within the basement slab, deeper-than-anticipated rock conditions and complex neighbouring property approvals. Through close collaboration and proactive problem-solving, the project was successfully completed on schedule.

A standout innovation involved using advanced 3D scanning technology to map existing services and adapt the facility's sprinkler system, avoiding the need for a full replacement and delivering significant value for the client.

The completed facility significantly increases storage capacity, helping Kennards Self Storage meet growing demand while strengthening its long-term operational capability in Chatswood.

Project Update | The team onsite Kennards Self Storage Wentworthville have reached an exciting milestone, successfully completing the second Level 2 suspended deck pour for Building 2.

Building 2 will deliver 12,334m² of storage space across 5 levels, further expanding the site's capacity and services.

The project also includes an extension to the existing building, incorporating a new retail store, office space and additional storage units.

We're pleased to announce that we have been awarded the delivery of the new Baker Bleu Artarmon Production Facility, a purpose-built bakery manufacturing facility on Sydney's Lower North Shore.

The project will transform an existing warehouse into a modern food-grade production facility, supporting the continued growth of Baker Bleu across NSW.

The project scope includes:
• Full fitout of a commercial bakery manufacturing facility
• Dedicated bread and pastry production areas
• Installation and relocation of specialised bakery equipment from Melbourne
• Cool rooms, freezers and proofing facilities
• Mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and fire services upgrades
• Staff amenities, storage and dispatch areas

Groundbreaking at ‘The Cunningham’ Retirement Living, Ashfield NSW

We were proud to join Ashfield Baptist Homes and project partners to celebrate the groundbreaking of ‘The Cunningham’, marking the commencement of this significant retirement living development in Sydney's Inner West.

This milestone represents years of planning, collaboration and perseverance. First lodged for approval in 2013, the project has progressed through multiple design iterations, technical challenges and statutory approvals to achieve a significantly improved outcome that aligns with ABH's long-term vision.

Total Construction has worked alongside Ashfield Baptist Homes and EPM Projects for more than two years, helping align the design with the client's objectives, operational requirements and budget.

Strong alignment and shared values between our organisations have laid strong foundations for a successful project.

Fernando Machado: 5 Years Strong

We’re proud to be celebrating Fernando Machado’s 5 Year anniversary at Total Construction. As a Project Manager within our NSW team, Fernando has been a core part of the delivery of several successful projects including StorHub Self Storage Australia Miranda, The Vault Rouse Hill, and Kennards Self Storage Minto.

Joining the team as a Contracts Administrator, it quickly became clear that Fernando had the ability, drive and leadership qualities to take the next step, earning a well-deserved promotion to Project Manager. He is now leading the team in the delivery of ‘The Cunningham’ Ashfield Baptist Homes retirement living development.

Luigi Giordano, NSW Construction Manager commented “Fernando has gone from strength to strength, building excellent relationships with clients, subcontractors and colleagues while always remaining committed to the success of his projects and the wider team. His development is a credit to his hard work and dedication, and I am proud of everything he has achieved so far.”
