One of Australia's largest solar and battery storage projects. Two weeks to get operational.
That was the challenge Solar X Australia brought to Onsite for this major renewable energy project in the Hunter Region of NSW.
Rather than a standalone hire package, our team delivered an end-to-end site infrastructure solution, bringing together accommodation, power, water, fuel, sanitation, transport and mechanical equipment to support up to 190 personnel.
Project highlights:
⚡Integrated multi-category site solution
⚡Two-week mobilisation
⚡Fully operational facilities from day one
⚡Single supplier

Congratulations to Major Account Manager Lenny Ross on reaching an incredible 10-year milestone with Onsite!
Lenny's journey began in 2016 as a Rental Sales Coordinator at our Melbourne West branch, before he moved into the sales team in 2018. Since then, he has become an integral part of the business, helping deliver significant results for our clients and teams.
When asked what stands out most about his time with Onsite, Lenny says: ""I enjoy the friendships I share with colleagues and customers alike; also the projects we are lucky to take part in all over Victoria - particularly major infrastructure.""
Thank you, Lenny, for your loyalty, commitment and hard work over the last decade 👏.

Distance is no barrier when it comes to a trusted partnership!
When a Qube Bulk Operations Manager relocated from QLD to WA to support a project at Bunbury Port, they already knew who to call. Drawing on an existing relationship with Onsite in QLD, Qube turned to our Bunbury team to support a project involving the unloading and transport of wind farm infrastructure through the port for delivery across the South West.
Located around 175km from Perth, Bunbury Port is one of Australia's largest regional ports and a key logistics hub for the region, making reliability, responsiveness and site access critical to project success. Working closely with our customer, the team delivered a tailored material handling and site support solution, including:

• knuckle booms to assist with loading and unloading operations
• telehandlers for on-site material handling
• a 50kVA generator
• mobile office and crib facilities
Security and responsiveness were also critical. Operating within a restricted-access port environment, our Bunbury Mechanical team are on hand to enable servicing and maintenance support whenever required.
From the east coast to the west coast, this project is a prime example of how strong relationships, local expertise, and true flexibility keep complex projects on track.

Through our Safe to Start initiative, we encourage our teams to ask four simple questions:
🔸Identify – What are the critical risks in my work are today?
🔸Control – What critical risks must be in place to keep me safe?
🔸Verify – How do I know these controls are in place and effective?
🔸Ready – Am I Safe to Start and would I stop if I’m not?

If an incident or injury does occur, we’re committed to early intervention, effective injury management and helping our people return to work safely through suitable duties wherever possible.

As our General Manager SHEQ Darren Moore says: “Health and safety isn't just about the task in front of us—it's about the mindset we bring to work every day. It’s about the conversations we have, the decisions we make and the way we look out for one another. When safety becomes part of our everyday culture, everyone has the best chance of going home safe.”

🔦BRANCH SPOTLIGHT - Kalgoorlie, WA
Kalgoorlie is one of the most remote regions serviced by Onsite - and one of the most important. Located in the heart of Western Australia's Goldfields, around 600km east of Perth, it's home to some of Australia's largest gold mining operations and a resources sector that helps power the nation's economy.
Supporting this vast region is Onsite Kalgoorlie. Established in 2009, team services one of Onsite's largest operating footprints, covering around 2,000km of remote WA - from Esperance in the south to Wiluna in the north and west to Merredin.
With a large client base operating in the mining sector, the branch has grown alongside the Goldfields and the industries that drive them. As Branch Manager Michael McLeod explains, ""In the last five years, mining has changed dramatically, and Onsite Kalgoorlie has evolved with it.""
That evolution is reflected in the equipment that clients need. While heavy earthmoving equipment once dominated demand during mine construction, the branch now primarily supports operations with access equipment, lighting plans and power generation solutions.

Key highlights:
• Supporting mining clients across some of WA's most remote locations
• Contributing to a major two-year project to relocate the primary mill and crusher at the largest gold mine in the Southern Hemisphere
• Assisting the region during a major blackout, helping restore power across Kalgoorlie
Perhaps the branch's greatest achievement isn't a project, but rather its people. As Michael puts it, ""Making them feel happy and safe to come to work.""

That culture begins with daily pre-starts and is built on strong local relationships, including team members like Ashley Grace, who has been supporting Onsite operations in the Goldfields for 15 years. It also extends beyond the yard. As Michael says, ""We at Onsite have received so much for Kalgoorlie, we try to give back when we can.""

From mine sites and maintenance shutdowns to local events and critical infrastructure support, the Kalgoorlie team helps keep the Goldfields moving.

Today's worksites demand more than diesel-only lighting.
As sustainability targets reshape construction, infrastructure and mining, the demand for hybrid, solar and energy-efficient LED lighting towers continues to grow.
These solutions help reduce fuel use, lower emissions and minimise noise, giving project teams more options to meet their operational and environmental goals.
From hybrid and solar-powered solutions to traditional diesel units, choosing the right lighting tower depends on your project's needs. We offer a range of lighting solutions to help keep your site safe, productive and efficiently lit.

When Programmed Property Services in Rockhampton, Central QLD, needed to carry out essential exterior maintenance and painting at Quest Apartments, they turned to our Rockhampton branch for the right access solution.
Our Genie 135ft boom lift and JLG Industries 45ft knuckle boom provided safe, reliable access to every part of the building, helping the maintenance team complete the works efficiently.
A great reminder that access equipment isn't just for major construction sites. From apartment and commercial property maintenance to large-scale infrastructure projects, having the right equipment helps teams work safely and get the job done efficiently.
