Electrical Nightmare #3: The Taped-Up Safety Switch 🎃

Righto, this one gives us the heebie-jeebies.

Safety switch keeps tripping, so what does someone do? Grabs the gaffer tape and straps it in the “on” position. Problem solved, yeah? NAH. 🙅‍♂️

That little switch is your best mate. It cuts the power in a split second to protect you and your family from a nasty electric shock. If it keeps tripping, it’s telling you something’s crook: a dodgy appliance, water where it shouldn’t be, or a fault in your wiring. ⚡

Taping it up doesn’t fix the problem. It just hides it… until it doesn’t.

If your safety switch won’t stay on, unplug a few things, leave the switch OFF, and give us a bell. We’ll track down the fault and get you sorted, no tricks, just treats.

Sparky Series | Halloween Edition: Electrical Nightmare #2 🎃

One power board… plugged into another… plugged into another. Strewth. 👻

Daisy-chaining power boards might look like a handy little fix, but it’s one of the scariest things we come across in Aussie homes. Overload a single power point and those boards can cook, melt the plugs and, worst case, start a fire. Not the kind of spooky you want this arvo.
