It was a privilege to create this unique nature playground for a school that truly values imaginative, active and sensory-rich play 🌿

The space features a diverse mix of purpose-built elements, including a timber climber and deck with slides, water play zones, refuelling stations road signage and sensory experiences throughout.

There are plenty of opportunities for upper body strengthening and active play, with mini monkey bars, a tree swing , and a multi-swing setup with rope loops and a rope bridge.

Enhanced with native trees and shrubs, the playground is full of new possibilities for kids to explore. ☺️

Check out our latest playground at The Stirling Arms hotel in Perth's historic Guildford.

A striking timber entryway welcomes visitors into a bespoke natural play space surrounded by a family friendly dining area.

Featuring custom-built timber fort with shop window, timber ramp, and slide. The play space is framed by rocks, timber steppers and balancing logs.

To one side, a shaded sandpit provides a quieter play zone, enhanced with sensory totems and carved log elements.

Lots of fun for the little peeps these holidays and for big ones too! ☺️

The children at Stepping Stones Child Development Centre are patiently waiting for their new playground to open! Our team just had to test it out to make sure everything is good to go. 😊
Featuring a fort with stick ladder access to upper level and a slide into the sandpit. Underneath is a shopfront window, with a rope sway bridge off to the side that can be used in different ways to suit a range of ages. We hope they love it! 😍😍😍💚

🌿Celebrating Kambarang - the season of wildflowers 🎋
This Kangaroo Paw carved totem at Atwell Primary School is part of a recently completed yarning circle for the students.
Featuring 6 totems depicting the Noongar seasons with colours, symbols and native flora carvings. Designed as an outdoor learning and gathering space, with playable items and native plants.
The school worked closely with their community, AIEO and consultant Ash Collard to create this place of connection and reflection.

🌿✨ Stage 2 nature play completed at Dalmain PS✨🌿

The first stage of the masterplan transformed a section of the playground into a waterplay zone, with carved log trough, rock channels, and a sandpit framed by natural logs and boulders. 💦

Stage 2 brings more challenges for the bigger kids — a DIY cubby-building area (proving popular), plus rope balancing and climbing challenges.

We’ve also added talking pipes, a log abacus, new native trees and shrubs. 🌳🌸

Every element is designed to engage different kinds of play — from physical and constructive, to sensory, cooperative, and creative. And hopefully lots of fun for the kids. 😊

🌿 We’re excited to announce that the Gracetown Community Centre’s brand new nature playground is finished! Built on Wadandi Country, the design was brought to life through a heartfelt collaboration between Nature Based Play, Koomal Dreaming and the local Gracetown community. 🐋✨
Designed to reflect the cultural heritage of Cowaramup Bay, the playground features elements that tell the stories of this coastal region. From limestone channels inspired by historical fishing spots to the “Spear Steppers” modelled after traditional Wadandi spears specifically for this project, each detail connects children with the history and natural beauty of the area. 🌊🦴

The central humpback whale climber serves as a tribute to the whales who seasonally migrate along the coast, visible from the site.

This project was made possible by the incredible support of the Cowaramup Bay community who helped fund, donated materials and worked alongside the Shire of Augusta Margaret River to bring the vision to life. Special thanks to everyone who contributed — from community planting of native Melaleuca lanceolata trees for future shade, to sharing cultural knowledge that has shaped the design. 🌱

We hope it is enjoyed by many. 💚
