Qualified Plumber / Gasfitter

Province Plumbing is a locally owned and operated plumbing company servicing Cairns and surrounding areas. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a qualified plumber to join our team.

About the Role
The successful applicant will be involved in a wide range of work, including:
Residential maintenance plumbing
Bathroom and renovation projects
New residential construction
Commercial plumbing works
Drainage and stormwater installations
Hot water system installations and replacements
Blocked drain diagnosis and clearing
General maintenance plumbing
Gas installations and gas maintenance (where licensed)
No two days are the same, and you'll have the opportunity to work across a variety of projects and customers.
An important part of this role will be helping mentor and develop our apprentice. We are looking for someone who is willing to share their knowledge, lead by example, and help guide a young apprentice into becoming a skilled, professional, and respected tradesperson. The right person will take pride not only in their own work but also in helping develop the next generation of plumbers.
Essential Requirements
Qualified Plumber
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Ability to work independently and manage jobs efficiently
Strong communication and customer service skills
Reliable, motivated, and professional
Pride in workmanship and attention to detail
Highly Regarded
Gas Work Licence / Gasfitting experience
Drain machine and CCTV experience
Maintenance plumbing experience
Excavator or machinery tickets
While not essential, applicants with gasfitting qualifications will be highly regarded due to the variety of work we undertake.
