⭐️ APPRENTICE OF THE YEAR - SHANNON JONES

Congratulations to Shannon who was awarded the 2026 NECA SA/NT Apprentice of the Year for the Industrial category.

NECA recognises the essential role apprentices play in the future of the electrical industry. The NECA Apprentice Awards showcase the outstanding contribution an apprentice can make to the projects they work on and to their employer’s business. The Awards also acknowledge achievement in personal development, effort, academic attainment and workplace competency.

Shannon is a highly respected and valued member of our electrical team and more broadly across our organisation. Shannon’s work ethic and workmanship are of a very high standard and his personal and team contributions are highly sought in his workgroups.

We are very proud of Shannon and his achievement and wish him every success as he continues to build and grow his skills, knowledge and passion for everything electrical.

MPS electrical apprentices recently celebrated the successful completion of their apprenticeships. Congratulations to Jaimen Wykes, Zenny McGrath, Shannon Jones and Max Steer on this milestone.

It is a credit to these four young gentlemen who have worked hard over the last 4 years to achieve this certification, with the support of their Supervisors and tradespeople who have trained, mentored and guided them along the way.

It has been rewarding to see our apprentices gain valuable and diverse experience across our domestic, construction and industrial work activities and projects. We wish them every success in their future endeavours.
