High Valley Garden

This is our last week in Turkey. We’ve now crossed to Georgia. On our way to Tblisi our back wheel ceased. Fortunately, a kind passer-by named Boris, assisted us to get a van. The van owner arrived within 15 minutes, invited us to their home and gave us something to eat before we head off.

While waiting for our bike to be fixed and prepared at Bike.ge, we hired a car do some sightseeing around Georgia.

The initial plan was to do a land border crossing in Azerbaijan but the border is closed, so we will fly from Tblisi to Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

We are so grateful for all the people we met who are so kind and helpful.

This week, we crossed from Bulgaria into Greece. We planned to do island hopping to cross into Turkey.

We have been blessed to have met amazing people.

Thanks to Rallou for offering us a place to stay at Artika Traditional Stone House in Sardes, Limnos. She also happens to know a mad cyclist who’s also the only bike mechanic in the island, George.

Thanks to George for helping us with our bike and not only that, he gave us a cycling tour on the island.

Thanks to Fortiny from ‘The Bicycle’ restaurant in Myrina for her warm hospitality.

It was such a delight to cycle through North Macedonia and Bulgaria this week. Though it was tough and challenging cycling uphill and on some hectic roads, it was well worth it.

Special thanks to Saska from Vinica for being so kind and helpful and to Andrej for his travel tip. Also thanks to the bike shop in Bitola, they’ve been very good in servicing our bike promptly and efficiently.
