The 2026 Dirty Hole Designs Mental Health in Mining campaign has just kicked off and Whittaker Contracting is proud to be sponsor supporting this great initiative!

Over the past 8 years, Dirty Hole Designs has been creating merchandise to help raise funds for the Black Dog Institute and encourage more conversations around mental health in the mining industry. To date these campaigns have raised $171,497 for the Black Dog Institute and this year the goal is to reach $200,000!

Every t-shirt or hoodie purchased from Dirty Hole Designs automatically receives one entry into the raffle, multiple shirts or hoodies means multiple entries into the raffle. This year there is over $39,000 worth of prizes to be won including holidays, drones, coffee machines, tech, mining gear and much more. This MT65 recently returned to site following line boring and a centre hitch overhaul completed in the Orange workshop. Shoutout to our mates PTB Engineering for their help to complete this project in a tight timeframe 👍

This Sandvik 661 Truck recently returned to service for one of our valued clients following extensive PCR work in the Orange workshop. Major work included:
✅ Replace failed transmission
✅ Reseal rear engine structure
✅ Replace drive coupling
✅ Machining repairs to rear structure housing
✅ Replace bull gear
✅ Replace dogbone
✅ Replace POS 2 Duo cone

Our team has recently completed extensive repairs to a Sandvik 663 Truck for a valued client. Repairs included:

⚡POS 3 & 4 duo cone replacement
⚡Drive coupling replacement

⚡Various Fabrication repairs
⚡Various cylinder repair / replacement
⚡Various defect repairs
