Global Cabling

Tools down. Sleeves up.

Some of the Global crew recently spent the day volunteering with , lending a hand and supporting the incredible work they do for people across our community.

A few hours of our time can make a real difference when plenty of people pitch in – and the crew was more than happy to get stuck in.

Great people, great cause and definitely a day well spent.

Thanks for having us, Zambrero!

This October, we’re supporting 👷‍♂️👷‍♂️

This year’s theme, Safe work is for life, reminds us that work health and safety is about protecting people’s lives, health and future.

At Global Cabling, Safety is one of our core values. It influences how we plan, how we work and, importantly, how we look after our people.

Working in the electrical industry means there is no room for complacency. We’re committed to continually improving the way we manage risk, encouraging open conversations about safety and making sure our people have the knowledge, systems and support they need to work safely.

Because ultimately, the most important outcome of every job is that everyone goes home safely.

Tools down. Learning on. ⚡

Last week, the whole Global Cabling crew came together for internal training - sharpening our skills on testing Body Protected Electrical Areas, a critical requirement in environments like hospitals where safety and precision are non-negotiable.

Over 20 of our team took part in the refresher, making sure we stay at the top of our game and ready to deliver when it matters most.

Investing in our people = better outcomes for our clients. Always.

Sparkies building for future sparkies.

The Global crew recently wrapped up our works at new Power Up Training Centre in Perth, delivering the cabling and electrical infrastructure throughout the new facility.

And this isn’t your average training centre.

It’s been built to give apprentices and tradespeople hands-on experience across electrical systems, mechanical systems and emerging battery-electric technology as Fortescue prepares for an increasingly electrified mining future.

So basically, our electricians helped wire the place that will help train a whole lot more electricians.

We reckon that’s pretty cool.

He started with us as an apprentice. Now he’s officially a qualified tradesman.

Congratulations to Matt Parin on completing his electrical apprenticeship!

At Global Cabling, we’re proud to invest in our people and give the next generation of electricians the training, mentoring and hands-on experience they need to build great careers.

We’ve loved watching Matt grow in confidence and capability over the years - and we’re pretty stoked that completing his apprenticeship is just the next chapter of his journey with Global Cabling.

Congratulations, Matt. Well earned! 💪⚡

Today is R U OK? Day – a powerful reminder to check in on our mates, our colleagues and ourselves. But the most important part of R U OK? Day is that it's asked everyday, not just once a year.

At Global Cabling, we look out for each other not only on site but in life. Mental health matters and it’s ok to not be ok. If someone you know seems a bit off, take the time to ask, listen and be there for them.

Because one conversation could change a life.

R U OK?Day is tomorrow, Thursday 10 September. But check‑ins shouldn't only happen once a year.

If you've noticed a change in someone and you’re thinking about checking in, ask R U OK? - whether that's today, tomorrow, or Any Day.

No grid? No worries.

The Global crew has been out in Toodyay putting together one serious off-grid setup.

☀️ 17kW of solar
🔋 30kWh of battery storage
⚡ 16kW hybrid inverter
⚙️ 10kVA backup generator
💪 Around 300kg of battery equipment to get into position

The solar alone includes 33 x 515W Trina panels, all working together with the DEYE inverter and battery storage to keep things powered without relying on the grid.

And because it wouldn’t be a regional job without a curveball, the crew also had a flooded access road to contend with. 🌧️😅

Three Global crew. Two weeks on site. One very capable off-grid system.

Not a bad setup in the Toodyay countryside.

Current status: a few sore legs.

Three of the Global crew hit the pavement over the weekend to take on the Perth City to Surf – and we’re happy to report they all made it across the finish line!

A cracking effort from the team, with plenty of laughs, kilometres and team spirit along the way.

Swipe through for the evidence. Same time next year, crew? 👀

Lights out and away we go! 🏎️

The Global crew recently hit for an afternoon of go-karting – and let’s just say the “friendly” competition didn’t stay friendly for long.

After plenty of questionable racing lines and absolutely no shortage of confidence, the podium was decided:
🥇 Dan
🥈 Charlie
🥉 Hayden

The rest of the field? We’ll protect their privacy.

A cracking afternoon with the crew, plenty of laughs and some well-earned time together away from the tools.

Dan’s got the bragging rights… until next time. 🏁

Five legends. One finish line.

The Global Cabling crew is trading cable trays for running shoes as five of our team take on this year's City to Surf!

They're putting in the hard yards to raise money for a fantastic cause, and we'd love your help to give our fundraising a real boost.

Every dollar counts, so if you're able to support the team, we'd really appreciate it.

Now let's hope they've got enough spark left for the final kilometre!
