What a day!

Due to a medical condition that may not improve, these lovely customers needed to change out their pendant lights for something more practical and easy to clean.

We installed down lights and the Aria fan/light combo from Beacon Lighting. These photos don't do them justice- they look great, and are so quiet (perfect for those summer nights).

We also changed out their Bathroom 3 in 1 heat/light/exhaust to a unit that will work its magic, particularly in conditions found on the central coast of late causing a lot of mould.

And to round out the day we installed two completely weatherproof battens out the back under the patio. The brief "I want two battens that will withstand the weather but are damn bright so I can actually see what I'm cooking. We want to be able to use our outdoor entertaining area". These rippers are great LED battens- low cost to run and 48Watts.

This customer was previously told by another electrician that separating the down lights and pendant lights from the same dimmer switch wasn’t possible.

We called Bullsh!t

The results speak for themselves. Looks stunning from the curve, and now every time she switches the lights on she isn’t seen from space.

I’m so passionate about making sure that electrical apprentices are exposed to all aspects of our industry. You will see these guys randomly on some jobs with me, they jump in from time to time to get some experience in the residential space.

We've been busy...

Living in (what feels like) the coldest place on earth, you definitely need all the trimmings to keep your house warm particularly as winter creeps in. However, when you live in a train with an extension built on its a bit harder to get the warmth circulating from the giant metal box and into the other parts of the "house".

We spent 2 days in this gorgeous part of rural NSW installing fans (and set them to winter mode to draw that ceiling heat back down); extraction fan from the main train to spread the heat through the extension built on; hot water system; oven; and all new lighting and power in the renovated bathroom.

On our next trip we tackle the outdoors...
Hopefully before the snow starts to lay ❄️☃️
