Out with the old and in with the new.
Part of a Reno the client wanted to relocated the switchboard. Was in a funky old frame and not sealed. Relocated to study with a modern flush fit board and door. Rcd's upgraded where needed. Looks 100% better.
Feel free to enquire about any switchboard upgrades or anything else electrical you may need.

Best way to renovate a house, pull the ceiling down. Much easier for the sparky anyway, no crawling through roof space and insulation. Now to clean up all the old dodgy cabling and joins, should come up a treat once the new kitchen and lights are all in. Hit us up for a chat on your next project or maintenance needs.

Now this is a shed to envy. Customer has waited a while to get it powered up and was very happy with the end result. With 200w led high bays and a 150w led flood light this place is bright as day. With 130m of trenching/ jack hammering through some very hard rock and cement cover for some high sections in solid rock it was a mission but worth it for the result.

Here's a couple of photos of why DIY isn't a smart move when it comes to electricity. The first two photos are the result of the conductors transposed in an rcd. Luckily it only melted and they lost power, worst case could have been a switchboard fire.

Third photo is an emergency stop button on a machine, while wired correctly the terminal was loose causing a bad connection, no cable entry with sharp metal edges cutting cable insulation and lastly the cable was not supported allowing it to cut on the metel.

Not only can these issues cause serious personal injury and property damage but in the event of an incident insurance company's want proof the work has been completed by a licensed electrical contractor issueing a safety certificate. Just a bit of food for thought, feel free to contact us if you need any electrical work. Have a great weekend.

Had a call out to check the main earth after the client had a plumber out to change a pump for the hot water system. The pump failed and was badly corroded and so was the sacrificial anode after only a few years. Good call from the plumber to get a sparky out to check the earth. This is what I found, the main earth was bonded to the copper water pipe which was the norm when the house was built. With previous reno's the copper was changed to poly underground, so not a good earth at all anymore and potentially deadly. I installed a 1200mm earth stake and a fresh bond to the water pipe.
