The boys have clocked off on a successful job over in South Australia.

The CWM team completed major shutdown works. Everyone dug deep in hot SA desert conditions to complete four mill relines which is something that rarely gets done during a regular shutdown. The boys got the job done ahead of schedule with unreal teamwork and grit. We love to see it!

A nice little fabrication job that came into our workshop just before Christmas. We had a customer find us and mentioned that other places he visited didn’t want the job.

This was fabricated, welded out and picked up by the customer to be sent off and painted all in a timely manner and during the quiet period where most shops were on holidays.

We have the ability to fabricate anything you need with guillotines, folders and our very own cnc plasma cutter to ensure your jobs are done right. We also stock a variety of parts for ute trays from a simple hinge or latch up to trundle trays and side boxes.

The boys have been busy over the Christmas–New Year break, supporting multiple clients — no rest for the wicked.

Shutdown works and small workshop jobs kept us moving, with some well-earned family time in between.

During the shut down there was a strong focus on gear box Inspections, drive assembly’s and lubricant change-outs were completed across several machines, with multiple issues identified and resolved well ahead of plant start-ups.

All of this while our usual onsite shift cover continued as normal.

Central West Maintenance (CWM) is a proud family-owned and operated business providing fixed and mobile maintenance services to the mining industry. We’re expanding and looking for skilled, motivated people to join our growing team working in the mobile maintenance space.

Current Opportunities:

* Heavy Diesel Mechanic
* Auto Electrician (Mining/Heavy Vehicle experience needed)
* Fitter Machinist (Mining/Heavy Vehicle experience needed)

What We Offer

💰 Competitive pay rates varying from $60 - $85 per hour pending experience
⏰ Full time, casual or subcontractors
🗓️ 2 on 2 off roster in Western NSW
✈️ Private flights from Brisbane to site
🏡 Camp style accomodation with all meals provided
🎓 up skill training provided
⛽ Company vehicle and fuel card for suitable applicants
🤝 A supportive, family-based work environment

What We’re Looking For

Must Haves:
* Trade Certificate
* C Class Licence
* Willingness to travel for work
* Able to work shift work
* Experience working on underground hard rock equipment

Desirable:
* 3+ years experience in underground mining or heavy equipment
