A TEAM DOESN’T DILUTE THE SERVICE. IT MULTIPLIES IT.

You’ll often hear smaller pest control businesses say, “When you book with us, you deal directly with the owner.”

And that’s a great thing! But here’s something worth considering…

At Laguna Pest Control, you still have direct access to the owners. The difference? Behind us is a dedicated team of 12 people, bringing together years of experience, specialist knowledge and a shared commitment to getting the job done right.

Because sometimes, one set of eyes just isn’t enough.

Pest control isn’t always straightforward. Whether it’s identifying an unusual insect, investigating tricky termite activity, managing persistent rodents or finding the safest treatment for a property, having a team means we can share ideas, draw on each other’s experience and work together to find the best solution.

And that’s a huge advantage for our customers!

So, what does having a team mean for you?

✅ More knowledge, better solutions – Different experiences, specialist skills and a team that can put their heads together to solve challenging pest problems.

✅ The right person for the job – From termites and rodents to general pests, mosquitoes and commercial properties, we have experienced pest managers with knowledge across different areas.

✅ Reliable service – If someone is away, attending training or tied up on another job, we have a team to keep things moving.

✅ A second opinion when it matters – Complex pest problems benefit from collaboration, not guesswork.

✅ Continuous learning – Our team regularly shares knowledge, explores new products and refines treatment methods. When one person learns something new, the whole team benefits.

✅ Safety and consistency – Working together means better support on challenging jobs, consistent reporting and reliable follow-up.

We’re also big believers that no matter how experienced you are, there’s always something new to learn. And having a team that shares knowledge makes us all better at what we do.

We’re proud to be a local, family-owned business, where the owners remain actively involved and our customers are never just another number.

At the end of the day, choosing a pest control company isn’t just about who answers the phone. It’s about the experience, knowledge and support behind the service.

With Laguna Pest Control, you don’t just get the owners. You get the whole team behind them.

12 people. Shared knowledge. Local experience. One commitment to looking after our customers.

That’s the Laguna difference.

The mozzies, ants and termites can have the throne until tomorrow.

TERMITE EXPERTISE, RIGHT HERE IN PEREGIAN: At Laguna Pest Control, termites aren’t a side service. They’re a specialty.

Owner Jay is a trainer and assessor, an Australian pest manager, a mentor, and a speaker at conferences and courses across Australia and internationally. That depth sits behind every inspection and treatment we do on the Sunshine Coast.

In January, Jay heads to the University of Florida’s Fort Lauderdale Research & Education Center as a guest speaker at the 5th Termite Course for Professionals: Biology and Control.

This level of expertise is not offered here in Australia. It isn’t a standard conference session. It’s a rare chance for pest professionals, sales reps and technical staff to go properly deep on termite biology — the science that usually never makes the conference floor — and to understand termites as more than “the pest in the wall.”

Jay will be presenting termite inspection tips and speaking on Australian termites, alongside some if the world’s leading termite researchers.

The course is almost sold out, with only a handful of spots left. Pest professionals from all over the United States are already attending, so you’ll need to move quickly to snap up a ticket.

Speakers and the full agenda are in the link below:

One of the things we’re most proud of at Laguna Pest Control is the level of termite expertise we have right here in Noosa.

Local knowledge. International standard.

Mosquito season has arrived in Peregian. With warm nights and recent rainfall, we are seeing an increase in activity across the region.
While it isn't possible to eliminate every mosquito, you can effectively manage their presence around your property to help you enjoy your outdoor spaces.

Simple steps to reduce numbers at home:

- Empty standing water weekly.
- Keep gutters clear.
- Screen water tanks.
- Cover up during dusk hours.
- Use an effective repellent.

When these habits aren't enough, Laguna Pest Control is here to help. We are licensed, local, and focused on managing mosquito populations around your home and outdoor living areas.
Don’t wait until they become a nuisance.

EXPERIENCE MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

In Queensland, pest control technicians need the right licences and qualifications to do the job. Training gives technicians an important foundation - but like most trades, there are some things that only come with time and experience in the field.

Experience is being able to properly identify what you’re dealing with before deciding how to treat it. It’s recognising pest behaviour, understanding why it’s there, knowing where to look and choosing an approach that suits the property.

It’s knowing how Peregian’s subtropical weather affects pest activity throughout the year.

It’s understanding why an approach that works well at one property might not be the best option for the house next door.

It’s knowing when to treat, when not to spray, and when a closer look is needed.

It’s looking beyond the pest you can see and working out what might be attracting it or allowing it into the property.

And it’s knowing how to read a house — the roof void, subfloor, gardens, moisture, entry points and all the little things that can make a difference over time.

At Laguna Pest Control, we’ve been looking after homes and businesses across Peregian and the surrounding areas since 2010.

Our technicians are licensed and qualified, but just as importantly, they bring years of hands-on local experience. They’ve worked in kitchens, roof voids, subfloors, gardens and businesses throughout our region and understand the pest pressures that come with living in our part of Queensland.

Qualifications provide the foundation.
Experience builds on it.
Local experience brings it all together.

Still smiling about this surprise in the local Noosa Today paper. We’re so proud to be recognised in the Hall of Fame at the Sunshine Coast Business Awards - and we’re looking forward to celebrating at the Gala dinner in November.

Spring has bounced into Peregian, and the subtropical weather is already waking everything up - including the pests.

Warmer days, extra humidity and those first proper outdoor evenings mean ant trails start appearing, spiders reclaim the eaves, cockroaches get busy, and termite activity lifts as conditions heat up. In the Sunny Coast, spring is when a small pest issue can turn into a full house guest situation if you leave it.

BOOK NOW BEFORE IT BECOMES A PROBLEM

It’s much easier to treat now than to wait until they’re settled in the kitchen, the walls or the entertaining area. There are just over three months until Christmas, and bookings get tighter as summer and the festive season roll in. Leave it too late and you may be waiting for treatment when you’d rather be enjoying the holidays.

A spring treatment now keeps your home comfortable through the humid months ahead and means you’re not still chasing pests when Santa’s on the way.

To book an inspection or treatment in Peregian and surrounding areas, call Laguna Pest Control on 54491765 or visit lagunapestcontrol.com.au.

RECOGNISING THE WOMEN AT LAGUNA.
Pest control is still a pretty bloke-heavy industry out in the field. No arguments there.

But we’re not going to lie at Laguna - the ones keeping this whole operation thriving are the women behind the scenes. The phones, the calendar , the quotes, the invoices, the reports, the policies, the curveballs, the chaos, the team events organisers, the therapists. That’s them.
Meet the team that actually runs the show:

Sheri on the left - our amazing Contracts Manager. Resorts, complexes, commercial… if it involves a contract, she’s already on it. Oh and she’s also a qualified termite and pest technician.

Nicky in the middle - Boss Lady. The one who built this (along with hubby), steers it, and still jumps in wherever she’s needed. Vision, decisions, standards, and the final say all sit with her.

And then there’s Wilara.
When most people hear “Operations Manager” they picture a lead technician in a branded shirt, clipboard in hand, barking orders from the ute, sitting in an office chair delegating everyone else to do the work. Not at Laguna.
Wilara runs every single moving part of this business. She keeps the technicians on the road, the diary from exploding, the jobs from falling through the cracks, and the clients feeling looked after. Scheduling, quoting, invoicing, WHS, policies, last-minute cancellations, software that dies at the worst possible moment - she absorbs it all and still somehow keeps the whole machine running smoothly.

Girl power. Laguna powered.

The next generation of Laguna Pest Control is here.
We are not a franchise.
We are not a branch of any nationwide company.
We are a local family business that has been proudly servicing Peregian Beach and Peregian Springs for the past 16 years.
What makes this even more special is the next generation of Turners stepping up into the pest industry.
Here’s what Wallace had to say after returning from a pest conference in Auckland, New Zealand:

“What a fantastic opportunity to be given! Being able to attend the Federation of Asian and Oceania Pest Managers Association (FAOPMA) pest conference was remarkable. Having the chance to attend a convention of leading experts in the field of pest management in a place as beautiful as Auckland, New Zealand was remarkable.

It was a wealth of knowledge to learn how a variety of products were made, how molecules are designed and altered, the biological effect of targeted pests, and so much more. It’s not just the application that goes into Pest Control, but the knowledge, expertise, and undertaking behind what we do and the impact of it.

Coming from a family business, this is a testament of how much we’ve grown. It can be trying to adapt and grow as a business in this day and age, but having support from family makes a huge difference in being able to strive towards success. This isn’t just limited to family as well, as this conference highlighted to me the pride my colleagues share in developing their knowledge and understanding of this industry we are in. This can even be extended to all the different representatives, manufacturers, researchers and other technicians I met during the FAOPMA conference. Each of them showcasing what it means to develop this industry further and further with difficult challenges appearing every day.

Once again, the opportunity to attend the FAOPMA conference was a remarkable experience that I will not soon forget.”

Wallace Turner.

A huge thank you to Faopma - Federation of Asian & Oceania Pest Managers Association and Pest Management Association of New Zealand for hosting such a valuable summit in Auckland.
