We’re excited to share the latest progress on our project at Drouin Primary School in regional Victoria!

A strong finish to 2024 saw the lift shaft completed, services roughed in, and external brickwork nearing completion.

Now back on site, our talented subcontractors are hard at work with plastering, window installation, and the distinctive feature painting of the brick facades.

This ambitious project includes a brand-new Community Hub, a double-storey Learning Hub with a competition-grade gymnasium, and a new Administration Building. Once finished, the upgraded facilities will accommodate an additional 225 students, supporting the growing Greater Gippsland community.

In the last couple of weeks, our directors took some time away from their day-to-day to share some stories with us and some insight into what makes us who we are.

We have a REAL passion for the projects that we undertake. We love the built form and take immense pride in the work we do.

We are thrilled to celebrate our 95th anniversary in the construction industry!

What a journey it’s been to get to where we are today. Over the coming months, we’ll be sharing tidbits from McCorkell’s past that will give an insight into our longevity and how we’ve thrived for the past ninety-five years.

Star of the Sea College, Brighton
The Heritage Wing Project

Perhaps the most stunning new element of the
Heritage Wing is the golden shingle soffit to the
portico.

An architectural standout, the shingles were
imported from Europe and manufactured to a
custom size to suit the existing structure. What
truly makes this feature distinct is the LED strip
lighting and wall-wash lights that have been
strategically installed, majestically illuminating the
portico as evening falls.
