The WA government has announced new proposals.

Here are our proposed reforms:

For the R20 density code, allowing residential property owners on 700 square metre blocks to subdivide - down from the current requirement of 900 square metres. This could open up 50,000 existing properties for subdivision.

More simple residential projects, such as renovations, patios and carports, would no longer need planning approval.

Reducing single-home approvals from 60 to 30 days.
