Behind every safety standard is a simple goal. Everyone on site makes it back home.

For crews, that means safer, better-managed worksites. For clients, it means confidence that access is being delivered by a team with the discipline, records and processes to support high-risk project environments.

Good safety does not happen by accident. It comes from standards that are understood, applied and lived on site.

If that matters on your next project, send your scope to [email protected].

Working metres off the ground takes a certain kind of trust.

Trust that the structure underfoot is solid, and that someone has thought about your safety before you ever step up. On a ScafWest site, the Advanced Guard Rail goes up first, so the crew is working inside a guarded space from the very first lift.

A worker can give their full attention to the job in front of them, knowing the edge is already made safe. That is what a safe place to work feels like, and it is what our crews build every day. Ask us how we set up access on your site.

If safer work at height matters on your site, ask us how we plan access from the first lift.

Every person who walks onto a site has people waiting for them at home.

That is why safety is not just part of the job at ScafWest. It shapes every decision we make, from how access is planned, to how it is built, checked and used throughout the day.

When access is delivered safely and reliably, crews can focus on the work in front of them and project teams gain greater confidence that the job is being managed properly.

Because the best outcome on any site is simple: everyone gets home the same way they arrived.

If you want an access partner that puts safety at the centre of project delivery, start a conversation with us at [email protected].

ScafWest was engaged to support remedial works on the Mt Henry Bridge, providing safe and reliable access solutions to all eight bridge piers across.

Projects of this nature demand more than just access. They require careful planning, detailed engineering, and seamless ex*****on in a challenging environment. Our in-house design team developed tailored access methodologies to meet the project's specific requirements, ensuring efficient access for the workforce while maintaining the highest standards of safety and productivity.

The Ringlock system did the heavy lifting. Its versatility, strength, and efficiency made it the ideal solution for the complex geometries and varying access requirements across the bridge piers. The result was an access structure that was not only highly functional but also visually clean and organised.

From concept and design through to installation and supervision, the project was delivered by ScafWest's directly employed workforce, ensuring consistency, quality, and accountability at every stage.

In-house design, Ringlock systems, and an experienced workforce working together to deliver outcomes on one of Western Australia's critical infrastructure assets.

What sets ScafWest apart is the connection between design, planning, and delivery.

Our infrastructure access solutions are developed by our in-house design team and delivered by directly employed crews under experienced supervision. This integrated approach ensures the original methodology, intent, and quality standards are maintained from concept through to completion.

In infrastructure environments, quality of finish matters. Asset managers, maintenance teams, and client representatives interact with these structures throughout the project lifecycle, making attention to detail essential.

For years, ScafWest has been developing innovative access methodologies that improve safety, efficiency, and project outcomes. Our focus remains on leading through innovation, quality, and ex*****on—continuing to set the benchmark for the industry.

Meet the ScafWest Club.

In February 2026, we took 35 of our team to Bali, and late last year, a crew headed to Sydney for the Scaffold Association Awards, where we brought home two awards.

The Club is really just shorthand for something simple: creating a directly employed workforce that are proud to represent ScafWest and building long-term relationships with employees, resulting in lower churn. Our clients see the same faces on their site for years, not a new set of workers every shutdown.

Every project ScafWest delivers is built by people who actually want to be here.

Marine blast and paint encapsulation done differently to accommodate demanding timeframes.

Before the vessel even arrived, our team pre-built around a dozen craneable scaffold modules all assembled in advance and ready to lift into position once the vessel docked. We integrated custom roof tracking for fast installation of bespoke wall and roof panels, and configured the modules so that two 25-tonne Franna cranes could place them straight onto AMC floating dock. A 3.5-metre cantilevered roof design maximised interior space for moving equipment inside the encapsulation.

The result came together safely, efficiently and assisted in the fast vessel turnaround time.

Our in-house design and engineering team works alongside operations from the proposal stage onward, and on complex jobs, that changes everything.

In practice, it creates faster turnaround on bespoke solutions, tighter integration between what’s designed and how the crew actually builds it, and a single point of accountability when something needs to change mid-project.

The Mt Henry Bridge “Centre Void Mobile” is a good example: minimal structural support locations, a narrow void, and what would normally have needed around 650m of tracking.

Our team designed custom-fabricated components that eliminated the need for tracking entirely, a solution that was partly responsible for the client winning the project and for significant savings on the tender. It also earned a Scaffold Innovation Award from the Scaffold Association.
That’s what in-house engineering delivers.
