At Bithuwarnda Fenceworks, we own and operate in-house advanced rock drilling and post ramming equipment.

When another business is handling that part of the job, you're relying on their equipment, their scheduling and their standards lining up with yours. Any gap between the two becomes your risk to carry.

So, we keep it in-house instead. Our team is experienced in operating the equipment in remote and mining conditions so you're dealing with one team and one standard.

A vulnerable access point undoes everything else you've got right on site.

A sliding gate's track design, load rating, end-of-travel stops, and the way it's anchored all come into play during installation.

Cutting corners results in fast wear, movement, or a missed inspection, turning a minor issue into a real one, leaving your site exposed.

That's why every gate we install, whether it's garrison, automated sliding, manual, or double opening, is specified and fitted to hold up under actual site conditions.

If your site has gates that haven't been checked in a while, or you're looking at getting new ones and want it done properly the first time, send us a message.

The fencing and guarding around your machinery is one of your hardest working safety controls.

A recent WorkSafe Victoria case made that point clearly. A quarry had a machine partially fenced off, with gaps in the guarding and no documented lock-out tag-out process. A worker was seriously injured as a result.

The company later admitted it would have been reasonably practicable to:

➡️ Install secure fencing with no gaps, fully enclosing the hazard
➡️ Control access through a lockable gate
➡️ Implement a documented lock-out tag-out procedure, with locks, tags and proper induction for workers

None of that is complicated, but it has to be designed in from the start.

If it's been a while since your site's fencing around plant and equipment was properly reviewed, reach out at [email protected]

On any given project, there are countless moving parts. Multiple contractors, changing schedules, deliveries, weather, approvals and unexpected challenges.

The last thing anyone needs is another problem to solve.

That's why we believe the best subcontractors do more than complete their scope of work.

They arrive prepared.
They take ownership.
They communicate clearly.
They work collaboratively with the trades around them.

And when something doesn't go to plan, they focus on finding solutions, not assigning blame.

That's the kind of contractor we aim to be on every project because we see success as measured by the confidence our clients have that, when we're on site, one thing is taken care of.

Every fence line, every gate, every job we complete starts with the same thing: a crew fit enough to do it.

WA's trade shortage isn't easing, and infrastructure demand keeps climbing.

The people doing the work are the asset worth protecting most.

That's why we focus on the basics that actually matter: proper injury prevention on site and in the workshop, and encouraging the strength and mobility that keeps a body doing this work for decades, not years.

The contractors people remember aren't always the cheapest. They're the ones who made the project easier.

Every project has a budget, but once work begins, price quickly becomes less important than reliability. ⬇️

Did they communicate?
Did they show up when they said they would?
Did they solve problems instead of creating them?
Did they work safely alongside other trades?
Did they deliver what they promised?

The contractors who earn repeat work aren't always the lowest quote on the table. They're the ones who reduce risk, keep projects moving and make life easier for the people managing them.

That's the kind of partner we strive to be on every project.

Every successful project starts long before anyone arrives on site.

Mobilisation is more than just loading a truck and heading out. It's making sure the right people, equipment and materials are in the right place at the right time, critical on remote and complex projects.

A well-planned mobilisation means:
▪️ Materials arrive when they're needed
▪️ Crews have the equipment to get the job done safely
▪️ Site access and inductions are organised
▪️ Work can begin without unnecessary delays

Get it right, and the project keeps moving.
Get it wrong, and delays ripple through the entire schedule, affecting other contractors, deadlines and budgets.

At Bithuwarnda Fenceworks, we know quality fencing starts long before the first post goes in.

Careful planning, clear communication and preparation are what let us deliver safely and efficiently. 🤝

Two mine sites. Same chain mesh. Two different specs.

On paper, fencing can look like a standard scope. In practice, every major client runs its own engineering standards over the top of the Australian Standards, and they're rarely identical.

There's an Australian Standards baseline for chain mesh security fencing. What sits above it shifts from client to client and project to project: post sizes, footings, mesh, coatings, gate details and wind loading.

We read the client standards and project specs before we price the job. You get a quote built on the right spec from day one, instead of the wrong version surfacing later as rework.

Throwing it back to a black chain mesh job in Port Hedland.

We supply and install a lot of galvanised chain mesh across the Pilbara. It's tough, weather-resistant and built for the long haul.

However visually, this one was different. Black chain mesh gives a site a cleaner, more finished look while holding up to the same heat, dust and conditions as the standard product. Same strength, sharper presentation.

We supplied and installed the full perimeter, then integrated the associated gates seamlessly into the fence line.

One of many jobs like this we've got under our belt. 🤝

In the Pilbara dry months, dust becomes a site management problem.

As the ground dries out, wind lifts loose material off stockpiles, laydowns and haul roads. Unmanaged, that dust drives up costs across the site.

Wind fencing controls it:
1️⃣ Stockpile control
2️⃣ Equipment protection
3️⃣ Haul road visibility
4️⃣ Environmental and audit obligations

Wind fencing is part of how a site stays productive, compliant and safe through the dry.

We supply and install wind and construction fencing designed around how your site operates.
